Of course, everyone is different, both in terms of their physical appearance and characteristics. Make sure that, if you are asked, you know how to describe someone both physically and the way they behave or act.

Dialogue: Two work colleagues are chatting about someone else in their office:

A- 王强,我能问你一个问题么?Wángqiáng, wǒ néng wèn nǐ yīgè wèntí me?

Wang Qiang, can I ask you a question?

B- 问吧。Wèn ba.

Go ahead.

A- 李华是你上司么?

Is Li Hua your boss?

B- 对啊。Duì a.

Yes.

A- 她人怎么样?Tā rén zěnme yàng?

How’s is she (to work with)?

B- 呃……她啊,特聪明,但是是个工作狂。

Er….. she is very smart, but is a workaholic.

A- 我总觉得她平时特别严肃。她人凶么?Wǒ zǒng juédé tā píngshí tèbié yánsù. Tā rén xiōng ma?

I always feel she is quite serious. Is she fierce?

B- 她啊……还行,不太凶。Tā a……hái xíng, bù tài xiōng.

She is…. all right, not very fierce.
