I've seen this tag floating around so many blogs over the past few days so I really wanted to give it a go myself, especially as the questions looked like fun ones to answer! I've really enjoyed reading all of the answers I've come across so far as I think some of them have been really interesting, and when you find a tag all about makeup I think it was a given that I'd take part. This is an easy one as you just need to pick what you would rather do out of 2 options and some of the questions really do make you think. 1. Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eye liners, lipsticks and lip glosses or all your palettes and eye shadows? This is an easy one. I'd definitely rather lose all of my palettes and eye shadows as I've become a bit lazy when doing my eye makeup as I tend to just stick to liner and mascara, with the occasional swipe of a cream shadow for a bit of color. I'm way too dependent on my mascara and liner as I think my eyes look so small without them, and I wouldn't even want to think about giving up lip products. 2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? I'm way too attached to my long hair so I'm not going to lie, the thought of chopping it all off gives me the absolute heebie-jeebies! I'd much rather keep all of my hair and never cut it again, and find weird and wonderful ways to tie it all up without dragging my hair along the ground. 3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek? I'd always been more inclined to go for pink shades but this seems to be the year of peach and coral shades for me so I'd definitely rather go for a coral cheek, especially now that we're getting closer to summer. It's just bright enough to be perfect for the summer but not too in your face that you feel like you're wearing clown makeup. Perfect! 4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup? It would definitely be clothes, all the way! Of course I could go absolutely crazy and spend £1,000 on lots of beautiful makeup but I think there's only so much you can buy before you have more than you could ever need. I'm currently going through the standard girl problem of having a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear, so £1,000 worth of clothes would be fab. 5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eye liner, or eye liner as lipstick? This question made me chuckle while I was imagining both scenarios. I think using eye liner as lipstick would my choice as you can use it just like lip liner and then fill the lips in, and with so many lovely coloured liners to choose from I'm sure you could have your lips looking nice with eye liner. The thought of swiping lipstick across the lash line just isn't right!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora? I've never actually been in a Sephora store but it's something that I've always wanted to do as they have so many great brands under one roof! As much as I love my MAC products, I don't think I could stick to just one brand so for that reason I'd rather have the choice in Sephora. I will get there one day! 7. Would you rather only use one eye shadow or one lip color for the rest of your life? As someone who doesn't wear much eyeshadow in the first place, I'd definitely go for the option of only having one eyeshadow! As long as it was a neutral shade I'd be very happy with that. I love the choice of many different lip colours so I really don't think I could do without that, especially with the brighter shades coming back in for the summer. 8. Would you rather wear Winter clothes in the Summer, or Summer clothes in the Winter? I really don't think you could get away with wearing a vest top and sandals in Scotland during the winter so I'd have to go for wearing winter clothes in the summer. The weather isn't exactly brilliant here so you still need to wear tights and cardigans, so it really doesn't make a difference right now haha! 9. Would you rather wear dark nails or bright nails all year round? I've never really been one to wear many dark shades on my nails so I definitely don't think I could wear them all year round. I tend to wear brighter shades regardless of the time of year anyway so I'd be happy to wear them all year round. 10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product? Definitely my favorite eye product! Considering I only really wear a liquid liner and mascara most days I'm sure I could give up my favorite as it would be easily replaced. I'd much rater hold on to my favorite lip product as it has taken me a while to find the ones I really like. 11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun? It would have to be a messy bun for me, especially as they're so popular and you really don't need to worry about it looking neat. Perfect! As my hair is quite long now, ponytails can just make it look a bit flat and limp so I think a messy bun is more flattering for me. 12. Would you rather never being able to paint yours nails again or never use lip gloss? I think this has to be the easiest question in this tag! Surprise surprise, I'd much rather never use lip gloss again as I'm well and truly a nail polish addict. I never go out the door without my nails painted so I can't even imagine going without nail polish, whereas lip gloss is something I could easily give up as I prefer using a balm or lipstick. 13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Or Sharpie them in everyday? The thought of having no eyebrows is definitely a scary one, although you can't really see mine as it is because of my fringe! I'd probably have to Sharpie them in everyday but hide the brows under my fringe. 14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish? Here I am going against my answer about always needing to have my nails painted as in this situation I'd definitely give up my nail polish stash for makeup. It's not that I feel like I have to wear makeup on a daily basis, but when I do go out with my makeup on I just feel better about myself. Plus I'm one of those people who really enjoys putting my makeup on in the morning so I couldn't go without that!
