WHATS ON MY FACE : MAKE UP OF THE DAY
Hey There,
Happy Easter to you all, I hope you are all stuffing your faces with lots of chocolate, (My egg was demolished within seconds for breakfast), got to make the most of the days when chocolate for breakfast is acceptable.
Unfortunately, my lovely countryside walk, and pub garden idea with the boyfriend has been cancelled due to the unfortunate weather, (Typical). SO instead we are having a lazy day and catching up on Breaking Bad, (I am so close to the last series, it is exciting).
Anywhooo, today I wanted to share with you one of my ‘standard’ day to day looks, my make up of the day. My blog has seemed so fashion orientated recently, I have been excited about getting messy with my make up collection, and sharing a few pictures with you.
I will talk you through from the beginning to the end…
To start with I cleansed, toned and moisturized, (It is so important to look after your skin, even if you can cover it up with a load of make up).
I then followed with my Porefessional Primer, and Porefessional powder, (Yes I applied powder before my base product), it helps keep everything in place that much longer, and look that much more flawless (Try it). And of course, I chose my MOST LOVED base, (Of the moment), Dior Hydralife BB creme, applied with my Benefit foundation brush.
To hide my imperfections, and blemish marks, I used my No7 stick concealer in ‘Deeply Ivory’, and my NYX HD concealer in Light to cover my dark cirlcles. I prefer to apply mine in a triangle shape, for extra highlighting around my under eye and cheek bone.
I then move on to my eyes…
Starting with Bobbi Browns Long Wear Eye Base Primer, (8 hours of eye make up…Yes please), and Urban Decays Naked Basics Palette, (Giveaway running here). I used Foxy and W.O.S to cover the base of my eye, Faint to create a smokey look, from the outer eye, and towards the brow, and lined the eye using Crave.
When it comes to eye make up, I prefer using my finger tips for the application, but I used a brush to finish of the blend, (This one being from my beauty kit, and no particular brand), and a brush to help create a neater finish for the liner.
(Using eye lash curlers, as usual), Here I am wearing Collections 5in1 Mascara, which is incredible for the price, (Less than £5.00…WHAT). It gives me the curl, volume and length I love.
For my brows I used NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Blonde, which is great for creating definition, precision lines and building on the thickness and fullness of your brows. I tend to use the lighter color for day time wear.
To finish the face, I had to go for my MAC Fleur Power blusher, and Benefits Hoola. Remember to do the 3 sign, covering each side of the face for perfect coverage. No body wants patchy bronzer, or OTT bronzed cheeks. For my blush I used Real Techniques Buffing Brush, and for the bronzer I used my ‘no brand’ beauty kit powder brush.
Now, no MOTD would be complete with out some spring color pink lips, and of course Tanya Burr’s Picnic in The Park, is one of my go to shades of the moment.
Apologies for the picture quality, I was hoping to take some out door pics, but since it had decided to heavily rain today, I didn’t think it would quite be the same.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO FINISH YOUR LOOK OFF?
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCT FROM MY MOTD?
Have a lovely Sunday.
Lots of Love,
KBxx
