Whole 30 {Round Two} Day Six

By Heathernichole
Early morning plans means grabbing coffee and an RX Bar on the way out the door. I had to pick up my rental car for my road trip tomorrow. Not that kind of road trip. It's for work. I'm actually really excited though. The car has xm radio so I will be blasting commercial free country music the entire four and a half hours that I'm on the road.

I went by my parents house so my dad could drop me off at the rental car place. He had fruit washed and prepped and offered me some. I decided to have a blood orange because I had never had one before. I was pleasantly surprised. It reminds me of a grapefruit so I was expecting it to be tangy but it was really sweet and really scrumptious.

I stopped by my favorite coffee shop {where my fiancé and I met} to get an iced coffee with canned coconut milk. They are pretty much the only coffee shop I've ever seen that offers canned coconut milk. They also have tons of paleo items. I tried their paleo cinnamon roll a few weeks back and today they had a paleo blondie. It will be a long time before I can try one of those.

Lunch time rolled around and I was a little hungry but not starving. My dad and I walked to a nearby car show and I packed us a bag of cashews to share. These held me over for several hours.

On my way back home I was getting really sleepy so I stopped for a half passion tea, half green tea from Starbucks. I highly recommend this combination.

When I got home I was still really sleepy. I knew this side affect was coming though. I debated whether or not I should take a nap but I decided to make French press coffee instead. Coffee is always the best decision.

For dinner I ate a baked potato with ghee, some pork with a bit of guacamole on top and celery.

And for "dessert" {if you want to call it that} I am having Synergy Kombucha. This flavor is really good! It tastes like sparkling pink lemonade.

I think I've said this before but I am drinking a lot of water as well. I'm going to wake up tomorrow and have a good breakfast and do a little bit of meal prepping. I can't bring too much on the road with me since I'll be in a hotel room without a fridge but I'm going to bring what I can. My new job is also giving me an allowance for food each day so I will probably find a grocery store and get some healthy snacks and fresh produce once I'm there. I may eat out once or twice depending on what my options are.
