This month’s contents:
- Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Soffle Body Crème, £26 – Birchbox doesn’t disappoint with this luxurious LM body crème. I love the Laura Mercier Souffles, in fact, I mentioned it in a post not so long ago. This is the prefect travel size, although I doubt it will last long enough to go anywhere with me.
- Weleda Replenishing Oat Shampoo, £8.95 – Hair products tend to be less exciting for me, since I have curly type 3c-4a hair and these boxes don’t really cater for my hair type. I often find shampoos very stripping, because I have drier hair, so I try not to use shampoos containing sulphates if I can help it. This is for dry/damaged hair though, and contains essential oils, so I’m interested to give it a go.
- Lila’lli Line Define Fill, £10 - This is a waterproof pencil for defining the eyes and lips. In hot pink, it’s a little bright for my taste, and DEFINITELY will not stray beyond my lips. I saw mention on using it on the eyebrows somewhere (hot pink eyebrows, anyone?) Erm no. The formulation is very nice though, it’s creamy and pigmented, and it doesn’t budge – I’d loved to have got this in a classic red. Although the Birchbox site only carries three shades – hot pink, brick red and bright green, with some further exploration I found lots of shades on the Lila’lli site, including some browns and blacks. Now I understand the brow thing. I can get on board with that!
- Spa Find Balanced Beauty Calmit Extract Serum, £26 – I mentioned in my Skincare Wish List, last week last week how much I love serums, and from first impressions, this one seems lovely. It is designed to “rebalance and help rebuild skin tissue for firm, clearer-looking skin”. It is completely non-greasy and absorbs into the skin easily. Hopefully it lives up to its claims.
- English Laundry Signature For Her Eau de Parfum, from £16 – I’m a bit rubbish with fragrances and just go with what I know, so it was nice to try something new. This is a delicate scent, quite musky and floral, but not overpowering at all. Personally, I prefer something a bit more citrusy and fruity, but as musks go, this one is lovely.
Hope you’re enjoying yours!
