For the first time this season, I'm writing this article about a repeat winner... As I've called it previously, the' 'roller coaster' ride of Tiger Woods' season rose to another high point as he won the WGC Cadillac Championship. Woods seemed to be in control for the majority of the event, playing typical Tiger Woods style, hitting it long off the tee combined with a solid short game.

His stats pretty much speak for themselves, lets take a closer look at the breakdown...
- Round 1: 66 (6 under) - 9 Birdies, 6 Pars, 3 Bogeys
- Round 2: 65 (7 under) - 8 Birdies, 9 Pars, 1 Bogey
- Round 3: 67 (5 under) - 7 Birdie, 9 Pars, 2 Bogeys
- Round 4: 71 (1 under) - 3 Birdies, 13 Pars, 2 Bogey
- Total: 19 under par - 27 Birdies, 37 Pars, 8 Bogeys
Woods played well throughout the tournament, and by the final day had a comfortable lead, which definitely helps relieve some of the usual final round pressure. With an impressive 27 birdies, Woods definitely played more consistently that he has in previous tournaments including the Farmers Open where he won making 2 eagles, 21 birdies, 40 pars, 7 bogeys and 2 double bogeys. Looking into some additional stats below, what stands out the most is an average of only 25 putts per round. That is truly impressive, and gives some validity to the saying 'drive for show putt for dough'.
- Avg Driving Distance: 296.5 yards
- Driving Accuracy: 53.57%
- Greens in Regulation: 69.44%
- Avg Putts per Round: 25 (Avg of 1.39 putts/hole)
