What It Takes To Win - WGC Bridgestone Invitational

Over the past few days, we saw once again why Tiger Woods is arguably the best golfer ever.  Typically in PGA Tour events, competition and pressure is intense Sunday afternoon as players make their way through the final round and down the home stretch.  However, at Firestone this past weekend, Tiger was clearly in the drivers seat.
Here's a look at Tigers stats from the WGC Bridgestone Invitational:

• Round 1: 66 (4 under) - 6 Birdies, 10 Pars, 2 Bogeys
• Round 2: 61 (9 under) - 1 Eagle, 7 Birdies, 10 Pars
• Round 3: 68 (2 under) - 5 Birdies, 10 Pars, 3 Bogeys
• Round 4: 70 (Even) - 1 Birdies, 16 Pars, 1 Bogey
• Total: 15 under par - 1 Eagle, 19 Birdies, 46 Pars, 6 Bogeys

After a solid opening round, Tiger followed it up by nearly setting a new course record, shooting 9 under par in the second round.  Typically, I like to see players play consistently throughout a weekend, but in this case I'll make an exception.  Taking a 7 stroke lead, Tiger was able to put his game on cruise control for the next two days and coast to his 79th PGA Tour victory.  
Here's a closer look at some of Tigers stats from Firestone:

• Avg Driving Distance: 315.1 yards
• Driving Accuracy: 62.5%
• Greens in Regulation: 73.6%
• Avg Putts Per Round: 27.5 (Avg 1.53 putts/hole)
