What Health Monitor Is The Best Out There? Fit Bit/ Up/ Fuelband Or Other?

By Ceboscuit @ceboscuit

Honest question for the readers, non readers and anyone else who looks at the internet.  My woman and I are looking into purchasing a fitness/ heart rate monitor and rather than me telling you about it later, I’m asking the people for their input.  Honestly, I like them all but am trying to figure out which one is right for us.  We both exercise a decent amount, play beer league sports and remain pretty active.  I’m probably one of the worst eaters on the planet and would eat pizza every meal of every day if I knew it wouldn’t make a million pounds, so I’ve got that working against me.  I’m looking for something that is going to help me monitor my daily activities.  I don’t normally just go to the gym and work out and that’s that.  Typically it’s some combination of  coaching soccer, playing multiple sports, p90x mixed with a run here and there, so properly monitoring all of that reliably is most important.

All of them do similar things but reviews are varied.  I have an IPhone so the mobile situation shouldn’t be an issue.  What do the people think?  Are their other products I should be looking into?  My boy just started testing this product, so perhaps that could make the cut.  Bottom line is I’m not looking to hook up a heart monitor to myself every day, I’d like to keep it around $150 and I want it to be reliable.

Thoughts?  Early leader in the clubhouse is the UP, but I’m open to suggestions.
