No matter what happens to the steelers this year. Fernando Velasco is simply an amazing guy. I was at the buffalo game and watched all the warmups right in front of me. This guy is a leader. He understands his role well. I have watched every game this year ever play and I really don't remember a single penalty against this fellow does anyone else. What an amazing pickup I think by the steelers. I mean we lose Pouncey 1st game and its just an awful feeling yet this guy comes in from another team and learns everything and all I can say is wow. I really hope he can stay around next year and be a contributing member of the steelers.
I'd encourage everyone to listen to the audio link in the link above. He has come through the fire and is performing quite well I think for the steelers. I just don't understand why he could have been cut from the titans. Especially if the steelers finish above the titans in their record this year it will be poetic justice for Fernando. He seems like a pretty humble guy too listening to him talk in the audio.
