West Virginia : Gameday Comes to Morgantown for TCU/WVU Matchup

I got into a small twitter battle last night. It wasn't a vicious one. It was more fun than fighting, but it was a twitter battle. I incensed a few people when I expressed my displeasure that country singer Brad Paisley would be the guest picker on Gameday this Saturday when they broadcast from Morgantown.
Here's the deal, I have nothing against Brad Paisley. I'm not a country music fan, but I'll give him credit. He's a great performer and musician. He's very good at what he does. He is a West Virginian, actually grew up in the Ohio Valley in Glen Dale,WV, right down the river from where I grew up in Weirton, WV. He's a huge WVU fan. Again, my beef isn't with him. It's with Gameday.
ESPN's new thing is to have celebrities as guest pickers on Gameday. They had Katie Perry in Ole Miss, and the Duck Dynasty guys at LSU. My disappointment was that they didn't pick a WVU alumnus. There are plenty of them, from Jerry West to Conchatta Ferrell to Cheryl Hines. I'm not even going to begin to list the NFL players. Yes, Brad is a West Virginian, but he didn't go to WVU. Some people think that being a West Virginian is enough, I personally do not. When they come to your school, no matter what university it is, this is a chance for the school to showcase itself. Therefore, the guest picker should be an alumnus. Give these school a chance to show off their alumni. It'll benefit them from a marketing perspective, and make the appearance more enjoyable.
That all being vented. #7 TCU comes to #20 WVU tomorrow at 3:30 for a great matchup. This game is totally up in the air. It could be the shoot out of the year, and that's saying a lot when you're talking about the Big 12. The over/under is 70. Wow. My Prediction: WVU's continually improving and impressing defense stops TCU just enough to let Trickett and White take the lead and win the game. Plus Smallwood and/or Smith have a 100 yard game. TCU 31 WVU 35.
Good luck against TCU. It'd be nice to see another Big 12 team fall to a local school. I also personally do not care for Horned Frogs' coach, Gary Patterson. I root for Boise State, and several years back there was fierce competition between the two schools. It was great watching Baylor come back against his team.
