Weekly Polish Picks - Weeks Ending 16 March & 23 March

By Makeupguineapig @MakeUpGuineaPig
Since I skipped last week's Polish Picks due to technical difficulties, I thought I would include them with this weeks. To see my weekly polish choices, keep reading! :)

I started out with a limited edition polish from Zoya. It's one of the polishes from their special Zang Toi Fall/Winter 2013 Collection Set. It is the most beautiful deep shimmering emerald green called "Chinoiserie Fantasy." This color was used on the runway for The House of Toi, whose collection was inspired by Imperial Russia. I absolutely love this color! In person it is a bit richer and deeper than in the photo. It stained my fingers a bit, but it is definitely worth it! :)

I think the next color I chose was "Wednesday" from Zoya which is one of my all time favorite nail polishes! It's such a beautiful light blue-green. This one almost always gets compliments, although people often think it is "For Audrey" from China Glaze. It looks similar, but the Zoya is more on the green side. Not much more to say other than I also love this shade!

Next was another of my favorite polishes. Another Zoya shade - can you tell I love Zoya? :) This time I wore three coats of "Venus" which is a beautiful semi-sheer pinkish-purple. It's a really beautiful color and I always get compliments when I wear it. It covers in two coats, but I almost always go for three because the color deepens with each coat. I find three to be just perfect!

Now we're up to Saint Patrick's Day. For that, I changed to China Glaze's "4 Leaf Clover" which, you guessed it, is another one of my favorites! It was a week of old favorites I guess! :) On my middle fingers I added a coat of D & R Apothecary's "Blarney Stone" just for fun. Plus I bought the polish thinking it would be perfect on St. Patty's Day. "4 Leaf Clover" is a pretty standard kelly green. It looks a bit deeper in person than in the photos, but you get the idea. The second photo shows the color a bit more accurately than the first.

Let's see. Next I believe I changed to OPI's "You're Such a Budapest" from the new Euro Centrale Collection. It's a periwinkle blue or a pale lilac, I guess. Nothing fancy really. It looks like there's a bit of shimmer in it in the bottle, but it goes on pretty much like a creme finish. I'm not convinced I really liked this shade. It's ok, but nothing I'm overly excited about.

Continuing on...I'm realizing I must spend an awful lot of time repainting my nails! :) The next, and last, color I chose is from Lime Crime. It's called "Parfait Day" and it's kind of a neon bubblegum pink. It's an interesting color because it's so bright, yet it's kind of a pastel shade. I didn't expect it to be so bright! The pictures don't really give the true sense of just how bright this polish is. It kind of like the color, but the polish itself was rather thick. I've never used another Lime Crime polish before, so I'm not sure if it was typical of their polish, or perhaps just an off bottle.

That's it for the past two weeks of nail polish. I'm a bit disturbed by how many times I change my polish when I look at it for more than one week at a time! :) I need to get a better hobby! :)
What has been gracing your nails lately? Or what color are you lusting after this month? I'd love to know!!!
