Weekly Nail Polish Picks - Christmas Thru 04 January 2014!

By Makeupguineapig @MakeUpGuineaPig
Since the end of my Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar, I haven't changed my polish quite as much. Shocking, I know! :) That doesn't mean that I still haven't worn a fair number of different polishes! So, without further ado, here's what's been on my nails since Christmas Eve!!! :)

I started out with Deborah Lippmann's Nefertiti on Christmas Eve…before I became violently ill! :) It's a beautiful gold foil. Nothing special, but it went well with what I was planning to wear that night and you can't go wrong with a gold metallic for the Holidays.

Next, I received a mini set of beautiful new shades from Color Club in my December Vegan Cuts box. I decided to try one out right away. It is called Sugar Rays and it's kind of an iridescent non-color, if that makes sense. It's quite nice for a subdued, neutral look. Despite it's lack of color, I still like it because it has that duo-chrome effect that I seem obsessed with! :)

For New Year's Eve, I wanted something more festive and I found the perfect shade hidden in my polish stash. It is Band Geek from KB Shimmer. I absolutely adore this polish! It has a black base with multi-sized gold, silver and copper glitter in it. It just seemed to scream New Year's Eve to me, so on my nails it went! :) I didn't use a black base, but the polish was opaque in 3 coats! That's impressive for a jelly-glitter shade! :)

Finally, I picked a more colorful shade to end the week. It's a beautiful cornflower blue from Priti NYC called Baby Blue Eyes. This color is so pretty and it really seems like a great year-round shade to me. It has just a touch of gray that keeps it feeling appropriate in the winter, but it's bright enough that I would feel just as inclined to wear it in the Summer! Absolutely adore this shade too! :) I love the formula of Priti NYC polishes as well.

That's it for the last little while. What have you been wearing on your nails over the Holidays? I'd love to know!!! :) Until next time, thanks for stopping by! :)
