Well, as the title can tell you I haven’t really had any epiphanies or divine clarification since Monday. Do you ever wish that there was some kind of technology where you could see where your life ends up in the next 10-20 years after you take various decisions? I do. Pretty much daily. Then again, I also play the Sims a lot, so I guess that’s kind of like a virtual future emulator. But it’s also a lot easier to get a job and make friends and change things up. You can also use cheat codes. And stop aging. So yeah, I’d like something more reliable than that. Google, why have you not added a “google your future” feature yet? Get on that…
I’ve made a little progress on the HAED this week, not much, but there’s been a lot going on. In addition to the whole trying to sort out my life thing I’ve still got another month and a half of the long term sub job, job interviews (only part time stuff so far though…still no word on the life establishing job front), and the part time retail job. Life can be pretty exhausting sometimes can’t it? And I’m not even as busy as some of the other people I work with. How do people handle things? It’s a wonder we’re not all clinically insane.
I’ve also managed to finish the book “The Dinner” which I enjoyed, although I have to say it wasn’t at all what I’d been expecting. It started to take a few weird twists close to the end. But at the same time it kept my attention and I enjoyed it, weird and all. A good look at human nature. One that I’d recommend if you’re in the mood for a rather slow-paced suspense novel.
I’m about 5 books behind on my review list though. (They post to Goodreads as soon as they’re written for those of you interested in the latest). I just can’t seem to motivate myself to write more book reviews when I want to spend that time reading. A common problem with book bloggers, or so I’ve read. Any ideas for getting inspired to write those reviews? I’m struggling here… And I have two reviewer copy books to take a look at too. Things stack up quick.
Well, while I go write myself some intensive to-do lists on post-it notes and place them strategically throughout my house I hope the rest of you have a good rest of your week. Just think, we’re half way there!
