Website Shows Accomplishments of Adventurers on a Timeline of Their Lives

I came across a really interesting website while surfing around the Internet yesterday. The site uses interactive timelines to show us the accomplishments of some of the greatest explorers and adventurers in history at different stages of their lives. This allows readers to compare what those individuals were able to do at various stages of their lives, with some setting high standards early on, while others rose to prominence later in life. And of course, there are those who simply added impressive achievements throughout the course of their entire time on this planet.
The website begins with Neil Armstrong and runs through Erik Weihenmayer, with a number of other famous adventurers in-between. For each individual, the site provides the year they were born, where they live/lived, and their major claim to fame. Below that information you'll find the timeline representing their lives, which includes green markers at various ages to show exactly what they had accomplished at those points. Clicking on the marker provides more info. For instance, Laura Dekker became the youngest person to sail solo around the world at the age of 16, while Ranulph Fiennes has a number of major landmarks across his life, he reached the summit of Everest at the age of 67, making him the oldest Briton to do so.
While the site doesn't provide a wealth of information about each of the individuals or their accomplishments, many of them are already household names for those who read this blog. The site does do a nice job of presenting the stats in a clear, easy to read fashion, and it offers some nice insights into what these men and women were able to do throughout their lives. You can check out the interactive timelines for yourself by clicking here.
