VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion Review

Hi Everyone,

The daily rain showers is keeping Bengaluru weather nice and cool. It is perfect for ginger tea and pakoras. Take extra care and don’t forget to apply sunblock before stepping out of house even it’s raining or cloudy. Last month I was at my native and it was scorching hot there I bought VLCC Cocoa Butter Hydrating Body Lotion which I really liked and would like to share my experience with you.

Product Claim:-

Cocoa butter is one of the best natural skin conditioners. It contains fatty acids that help in hydrating the skin deeply making it look and feel soft and supple. Enriched with antioxidants this nourishing emollient fights environmental stressors and free radicals, keeping them from damaging the skin cells that trigger premature aging. Combining the benefits of Cocoa butter with conditioning qualities of olive oil and aloe gel VLCC has whipped up this beautiful hydrating body lotion that moisturizes the skin and keeps it looking young, flawless and radiant.

Benefits:

  • With SPF 15
  • Deep hydration
  • Enriched with Cocoa butter

Price:-

INR 255 for 350 ml and INR 155 for 200 ml.

Ingredients:-

Directions for use:-

Apply it twice a day morning and evening, in the morning either after taking bath or 15 minutes before stepping out in the sun.

My opinion on the product:-

The lotion comes in white opaque bottle with flip open cap (in 200 ml bottle) or with a pump dispenser (in 350 ml bottle) depending on the size you buy. I have 200 ml bottle which is sleek and it has a flip open cap which shuts nicely to make it travel friendly. The lotion has a little thick and creamy texture which seeps into my skin with a little rubbing. The result is amazing and my skin feels like super soft and moisturized. It keep my skin hydrating for quite a long time and I apply this every morning after having bath. I really like the baby soft skin that I get after applying this lotion.

I can even use this during winters as it is very moisturizing without making my skin oily. The smell is a like cocoa butter and not floral, fruity or chocolaty. Everyone might not like the smell but I have no problem with the smell and it fades away after few minutes of applying. The smell is nice, however my daughter is not a fan and she expected it to be chocolaty like Vaseline. As a body lotion this product does its jobs perfectly and I am happy to see my skin all conditioned and hydrated for long. In winters dry skin people might need to reapply it after 4-5 hours but in summers I am sorted for whole day.

I haven’t checked how good it is in protecting from UVA and UVB rays. It claims to have SPF 15 and titanium di oxide in its key ingredient list so I am hopeful that it will protect from harmful rays. The wheat germ extract, aloe vera extract, cocoa butter and shea butter in this lotion really do wonders for my skin by making it soft and supple like a baby. It am very happy with my purchase and would like to try out different variants too.

  • Smooth texture
  • Deeply conditions skin
  • Non greasy
  • Contains wheat germ extract and aloe vera extracts
  • Goodness of cocoa butter and shea butter

What I didn’t Liked:-

Nothing.

Will I repurchase and recommend:-

Yes, it is definitely all season and all in one body lotion and I recommend this to everyone.
