Vivienne Westwood Mon Boudoir

By Hhepton

This is a first for me on my blog, a perfume review. Which is strange because I absolutely love perfume, although my collection is small, every single one I had I adore. I keep telling myself to buy more as I’d love to have a larger collection, but who buys themselves perfume? It’s definitely something you receive as a gift… hint hint people I know in real life reading my blog…

Today I’m going to be talking about the gorgeous Vivienne Westwood Mon Boudoir Perfume*, my very first Vivienne Westwood product and already it’s found itself at the top of my ‘most glamorous perfume bottles ever’ list!

I know I shouldn’t admit this, but I’m going to… If I saw this in a shop the packaging would totally sway me into buying it. The frosted pink glass bottle paired with the gold top that is the typical Vivienne Westwood logo, Mon Boudoir is basically girlie-ness in a bottle. If I had smelt this without reading the scent notes I would find it so hard to pick out what was in it. I’m terrible with wine too, I think I just don’t have a very refined sense of smell! To me it’s slightly floral, a little musky, but not too overpowering for every day wear. What it’s actually supposed to smell like is, a delicate floral fragrance (whoop, I got that right!) with subtle notes of Lily of the Valley, dewy notes of pear and mandarin (now I know this I can definitely pick it up) with rose and jasmine and a white musk and sandalwood finish. It’s gorgeous, and as my 60 year old Mother, 36 year old sister, and me all love it, I’d say it was a pretty good choice for anyone after a new perfume. It’s available from Harvey Nichols and if I were you, I’d get it just to put on your dressing table…

I think I have officially decided I’m going to buy more perfume, starting with saving up Boots points for something special! I have a massive need inside of me for more… this could be expensive! What’s your favorite perfume or fragrance?
