Back in 2013, ultrarunners Mike Wolfe and Hal Koerner set out to challenge the fastest known time on the John Muir Trail. Their goal was to complete the iconic route, which is 213 miles (342 km) in just 3 days and 14 hours. In this video, which has been out for awhile but is well worth revisiting, we join them in that effort, soaking up the amazing scenery that the JMT is well known for. We also experience the pain and suffering that comes along with one of these massive undertakings, which see endurance athletes push themselves to their absolute limits just to see how far they can go.
