American climbers Tim Emmett and Kyle Condie travel to Vietnam, where Emmett-an early practitioner of deep water soloing-imparts his knowledge on his younger companion. This style of climbing involves scaling rock faces that are located above large bodies of water, allowing the climber to attempt the route without the use of ropes or other safety gear. Should they fall, they plummet safely into the water below, creating an environment that is both freeing and safe at the same time. In this wonderful short documentary film, we join Tim and Kyle as they take on one of the more challenging deep water soloing routes in the world, taking full advantage of what Vietnam has to offer.
