When I said that I had finished my Palma posting I wasn’t being completely truthful … On our last day of wanderings // see post // when we were ducking and diving between all the streets in the Old Quarter we came upon Embotits Es Miracle and met the lovely Uta.  { she was telling us about the history of the birdcage propped outside on the wall! } Apart from enjoying the layout of this little speciality food shop, I noticed the little set- up in the corner of Vermouth, pictured above. Within a few seconds of saying “Hola” Uta asked if I wouldn’t mind to sit down and model holding a glass of vermouth for a few photos, ok! She handed me a book and just asked me to sit and read it (or pretend to read it since it was in Spanish!). Apparently I fitted in perfectly with the theme for the event which was rather 1960’s. It was all to do with the tasting of the new vermouth and to show how it could be drunk and enjoyed. Obviously it completely reminded me of Mad Men and I was expecting (or wishing) that the crew would walk in ...
