Job Profile for UP Postal Circle Vacancy:
Branch Postmaster:
Managing affairs of GDS Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank (IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the hand-held device/ Smartphone supplied by the Department. the general management of postal facilities, maintenance of records, upkeep of handheld device, ensuring online transactions, and marketing of India Post Payments Bank services and procurement of business within the villages or Gram Panchayats within the jurisdiction of the Branch Post Office.
Assistant Branch Postmaster:
Sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail at doorstep deposits, payments & other transactions under IPPB, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the hand-held device/ Smartphone supplied by the Department.He also will be required to try to marketing, organizing melas, business procurement and the other work assigned by the Branch Postmaster.
Dak Sevak:
Viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and the other duties assigned within the Departmental Post Offices/ RMS. He can also need to assist Post Masters/ Sub Postmasters in managing the graceful functioning of Departmental Post Offices and do marketing, business procurement or the other work assigned by the Post Master. In Railway Mail Services (RMS), GDS has got to handle the work associated with RMS, like closing/ opening of luggage, transport of luggage from one place to other manually and the other works allotted by the RMS authorities.
