The first thing I wanted to get from Ulta was the new Glow Kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills in the shade Sun Dipped. I love it just as much as her Glow Kit in Gleam. Her highlighters just blend into the skin so well and they don't accentuate skin texture like so many other highlighters do. At first I was worried my skin would be too light, but I think this one could work for all skin tones. I even use Bronzed as a blush and I love it. It gives my skin a nice touch of warmth.
Makeup Revolution teamed up with BritishBeautyBlogger to create the Fortune Favors the Brave eyeshadow palette, which I have seen on IG for awhile now. It is a beautiful palette and I do like it, but it isn't one of my favorites. I still have a lot of shades to try out, though. The copper shade is stunning, though. It almost has a glossy, wet look to it.
I am obviously very fair skinned. I always know that I need to get the lightest shade of foundation no matter the brand. However, they are many times where even the lightest shade is still way off. So I bought the NYX Pro Foundation Mixer in White. I tried this out with my Milani Conceal+Perfect Foundation in Creamy Vanilla and it worked like a charm. They make it in a variety of shades including Olive, Deep, Warmth, and Luminous. This is such a handy product to have on hand.
My local Ulta finally has Soap and Glory makeup. After looking at the display for what felt like thirty minutes, I finally decided to get the One Heck of a Blot primer and foundation. I hate to say it, but I am not impressed with either one at the moment. They don't do a darn thing to control oil, but the coverage of the foundation is nice and at least it doesn't break down by the end of the day. I also hope they expand their shade range since they only have four shades.
On the day I placed my order, Ulta let platinum members purchase the new NYX Lip Lustre Glossy Lip Tints early. I got two shades: Retro Socialite and Antique Romance. I have only worn Antique Romance once, but I was pretty impressed. They are a unique product and once I try them out more, I will post a review. I am pretty sure they come out at the end of the month.
Considering how much I love Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Craft, I figured it was time for me to get a new shade to try. I decided on the color Dolce, which I believe is one of her newer shades. It is a light coral that is perfect for summer. I haven't been able to stop wearing it because it is so pretty and goes with a lot of my warm toned looks. And of course now she has two more new ones: Sweets and Moonchild. She won't be happy until we are all broke and can bee seen from outer space. But since those two are exclusive to her site, I probably won't be getting them. I like seeing stuff in person before I decide to purchase it.
I also got the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Queen B. I haven't had a chance to wear this one yet, but the color is gorgeous and unique. I don't have anything like it in my collection.
Oh, and I got a couple of sheet masks. I always do when I go to Ulta. I have to keep the stash replenished. This time I opted for two by Tony Moly. The first is the Pureness 100 Collagen mask and the other is the Bubble Mask Sheet, which is pretty cool. I also got another one of the mud mask sheets, which come in handy if you don't want to deal with the mess of a traditional mud mask.
The last thing I got from Ulta is their Dual Action Cleansing Brush. I got this for my mom since she wanted something to exfoliate and cleanse her skin, but she didn't want to spend the money on something like a Clarisonic. This one was only $25 and it has great reviews.
Now on to Walmart. I added to my Maybelline Loaded Bolds and Color Jolt collection. I got Mauve It from the Loaded Bolds Collection and Stripped Down from their new Color Jolt Lip Paints. I LOVE the Loaded Bolds lipsticks. I am a little less enthused about the Color Jolts, but I do like them a lot. I've noticed that they have a tendency to dry my lips out pretty badly.
I also picked up the new Better Skin powder by Maybelline after hearing a lot of great things about it. So far, I am pretty impressed. I also like that it has salicylic acid in it, so it doubles as an acne treatment.
I was in dire need of some new shampoo and I rarely try the same one twice. I was intrigued by Garnier's new Whole Blends line and went with the one that has coconut oil and cocoa butter that helps tame frizz. I've used the shampoo and conditioner once and I like them both. Plus they smell amazing.
I will work on trying everything out and get reviews posted on everything.
See you soon!
xoxo
