Two Main Obstacles Between You and Your Goals PLUS a Special Announcement…

By Jamie Koonce @charcuterielove
Something I have noticed over the years is that there are two main obstacles separating most people from reaching their goals — whatever their goals may be.

The #1 and most obvious obstacle is… confusion or lack of clarity about what to do.

For instance, if you are trying to lose 10 pounds of “holiday weight gain” or “menopausal belly fat” or “post-baby weight,” there are a million diet books, products, programs, internet scams, ebooks, etc. that will all tell you something different.  One guru will tell you that it’s cooked food and dairy that’s making it hard to lose the weight, while another guru will tell you it’s the carbs and the sugars that are keeping you fat.  And there are all kinds of variations on this — the blood type diet, metabolic typing, the raw vegan diet, the Dukan diet, and whatever weight loss scheme Oprah is into at the moment.  Some people become addicted to trying one diet after the next, losing 5 pounds and then gaining it back over and over and over again.  It’s profitable for companies to keep you confused and addicted to the yo-yo dieting scene.

One purpose of this blog is to serve as a guide to help you get clarity so that you can become your own “guru” and never have to rely on half-baked advice from magazine racks, “nutrition” books, or the talking heads on TV ever again.  In today’s post about coconut products, I explain some of the differences between the different coconut products out there and why some gurus say coconut is bad for you while others classify it as a healing food.  To read the post about the coconut products, click here.

The #2 and less obvious obstacle preventing you from achieving your goals is mindset.

If you believe that no matter what you do, it’s inevitable that you will never make any dramatic improvements in your life, then that’s exactly what you’ll get.  But if you truly believe that life doesn’t have to be a struggle, and all your goals are easily within your reach, that’s what’s bound to happen.  As an example, if you think that healthy eating is all about sacrifice, willpower, and austerity, then making the right food choices every day is always going to be boring, unsatisfying, and uncomfortable.  But if you realize that healthy eating is not about depriving yourself, eating bland foods, feeling hungry all the time, or avoiding social situations involving food, and is really about giving yourself exactly what you need, eating the best food ever, feeling completely satiated by your meals, and enjoying yourself during social situations without having to binge on bad stuff or “cheat” at your diet, then I promise you that it will never be a struggle for you to make the right choices every time.  By changing your mindset, you can literally set yourself free and begin living your life without all the ups and downs.  If mindset is something that you struggle with, I offer personal coaching for a limited number of one-on-one clients.  With personal coaching, all matters are kept strictly confidential and all clients are treated with total respect — there is absolutely no condescending talk, placing the blame on anyone, negative talk, or sharing of your private information with others.  We will work through issues over the phone or via Skype, and suggestions will be made to help you sort through any problems that are hindering you from reaching your goals.  For more information, see this page http://www.holisticchineseherbs.com/nutrition-detoxification-consultations/
