Twenty-Six Weeks

By Heathernichole

How far along? Twenty-six weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a bowling pin.

Baby's nickname? Baby girl and her daddy and I call her by her name.

Maternity clothes? Yes! I can still wear some non-maternity tops but all maternity pants. Exercise? It's very difficult to get in exercise when I'm in pain most of the day. But I have been cleaning around the house a lot and I consider that activity.

Sleep: Sleep has been so much better this week. Ever since we moved the dogs closer to us at night, they sleep better which means we sleep better.

Best moment this week: Finding out I passed my gestational diabetes test! Also, when my husband put together baby girl's crib.

Miss anything? I miss being comfortable. I am uncomfortable or in pain for probably 90% of the day now. And I know it's only going to get worse as the baby continues to grow.

Movement: SO much movement! Most of it can be felt outside the belly now so when her daddy is home, he'll put his hand on my belly to feel her. On Friday my belly was vibrating for a brief moment. It was the weirdest thing. I pulled my phone out to video it and of course, it stopped.

Food cravings: Iced tea with lemonade. So good and so refreshing.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Terrible rib pain on my right side mostly. I wake up feeling fine but by noon, my ribs feel sore. By the time I go to bed I'm in excruciating pain. Makes it very hard to fall asleep comfortably. I've tried using ice. I've tried a heating pad. The heating pad works a bit but doesn't make the pain go away completely. I've been told seeing a chiropractor can help so I'm going to look into that. Also, my acne is getting bad again. I thought maybe I had seen the worst of it but I was wrong.
Wedding rings on or off? I am wearing my wedding ring all the time but I've actually stopped wearing my engagement ring this week. When I tried taking it off on Saturday evening {because I never sleep with it on}, it was difficult to remove. I've decided to keep it off for now. I'll probably only wear for special occasions.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy most of the time. A little moody when I'm in pain but I think I'm handling it pretty well. Looking forward to: So many things. My 30th birthday, the baby shower, maternity photos and then she'll be here! Time is going to fly by, I know it.
Baby bump at twenty six weeks and six days.
Baby girl will be the perfect combination of these two cuties. I love that it looks like we're looking at each other.
