By Simplyfutb01 @simplyjuan11

It’s back to Super League action this weekend as the international break came and went.  This week on Turkish Football Weekly:

  • Turkey’s Euro 2016 qualifying match against Kazakhstan is briefly reviewed.  The main story coming out of the game however is the controversy surrounding the removal of goalkeeper Volkan Demirel before the match started.  The guys debate whether Demirel was in the right or wrong.
  • The main topic of the news review this week concerns a very odd story coming from Genclerbirligi.  Chairman Ilhan Cavcav apparently isn’t a fan of excessive facial hair.
  • The week 10 schedule of the Turkish Super League is given a rundown.
  • With European action occuring this coming week, the guys take a look at the chances for the Turkish clubs participating in their respective competitions.

As a bonus, Ata Dizdar was recently on the Neverkusen Podcast (a podcast concerning Bayer Leverkusen) talking about the controversy surrounding the omission of Hakan Calhanoglu and Omer Toprak from the Turkish national team.  You can listen to the episode at this link: http://www.neverkusen-podcast.net/?p=665
