TREASURES BY TAN Holo Hangover Collection Swatches Part 3 (Sunkiss, Jagerbomb, Amazon Dreams, Aftershock)

By Fleurissante

Hello lovelies,

this is the last part of my Treasures by Tan swatching series. You can find other parts here: PART 1; PART 2. The full-sized collection (twelve 15 ml bottles) retails for $95, while the mini-sized collection (twelve 5ml bottles) retail for $55. Some shades are available individually for $9,5 for 15ml.

In general, these nail polishes have a thin formula (although some shades are slightly thicker) and majority of them become fully opaque after three coats. They are extremely sheer in one coat – when I first applied them I was like WTF? – this looks sheerer than OPI sheer tints. The second coat builds up more color – at this point several shades look pretty opaque, but some are still uneven so they do require that extra third coat (my standard is two coats).

The holo effect is not uniform across all the shades. They are all made with grade 35 spectraflair, but some show rather strong rainbow, while the others are pretty subtle (even in strong sunlight).

I applied two thin and one thicker coat for all the swatches and didn’t put base or top coat. Click on the photos to enlarge them.

Sunkiss is a bright yellow holo. The holo effect is very strong, but this is the sheerest nail polish from the collection. Even after three coats I could clearly see the nail line and I think it would require at least two more coats to become fully opaque. I plan to use this as a top coat over other yellow nail polishes.

Jagerbomb is a goldish tan holo nail polish. The base color reminds me of Chanel’s Gold Shimmer. Again, the weakest holo in the collection. It is opaque in two coats, but the swatch is made with three. This one had a slightly thicker formula than the rest.

Amazon Dreams is a peachy pinky coral subtle holo. It is opaque in three coats.

Aftershock is a bright reddish coral pink holo. Holo is very strong. It looks red in the bottle, but translates to coral pink on the nails. This shade is opaque in three coats.

Two absolute favourites from this part are Amazon Dreams and Aftershock.

Overall, I like this collection a lot. It offers rather interesting shades of holographic nail polishes for an affordable price (especially when you count in the discount). I’m not bothered with the need to apply three to four coats, but I can understand that others would prefer less fussy nail polish. I, on the other hand, will definitely keep an eye on the upcoming products.

You can find them at their etsy store: Treasures by Tan. Also, you can like their Facebook page, where they often share promos and discount codes.

Thank you for reading,

xoxo Tamara
