Travel: Meet FANCL’s New Brand Ambassador Zhang Jun Jing

Now that FANCL has been back in Singapore for a year or so (yay to no more buggering friends to help me cart back their famed Mild Cleansing Oil from overseas), the brand is reaching for greater heights. Japan’s largest preservative-free beauty brand has just unveiled its newest brand ambassador to be Zhang Jun Ning. Also affectionately known as Ning Chang by her fans, the Taiwanese lass has both brains and beauty, with the latest accolade to her name being her stellar performance in the drama Empress of China.

Ning Chang will (or at the time of reading) is the face of Fancl for Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Hence, I flew over to Taiwan to attend the press conference.

Before we got the main (meeting the star), it was time for starters and appetisers – in the form of a ridonkulously delish meal at RAW Taipei (seriously guys, this is a MUST-visit if you’re ever in Taipei. Make reservations months in advance tho – I’m so blessed that FANCL managed to secure a slot for us!) (Side note: Lemme know if you want me to do a review on Raw).

Now what I love about FANCL is that not only did they extend the utmost hospitality to us, they also gave us an experience – with their products.

This was provided for all our meals. Note the green and yellow sachets? They’re the brand’s Fat Burner and Calorie Cut pills that’ll help in health management. We ate our way through 3 days and so much food, but thankfully didn’t put on that much weight. Phew! If you’re keen on this, something new and exciting is coming up very soon! 😀

After a good meal (or meals) as well as a good night’s rest, we were ready to get to work – meeting Ning Chang!

Psst: Did you know that the correct way to pronounce the brand is “fang-kel” (think ankle, but with a F in front). We Singaporeans love calling it “fun-cal”.

A gorgeous setup that’s totally in line with the brand’s image – clean, simple and healthy (look at dem white fluffy clouds simulating clear blue skies!) That also happens to be a photo wall, so we totes went for it – I mean, how often can you get a photo with fluffeh white clouds and blue skies hurhurhur.

She’s here! She’s even more gorgeous in person – look at that crazily radiant and healthy skin that’s glowing.

Ning Chang spoke about her choice to lead a healthy lifestyle, which includes eating healthy foods that are free from preservatives and exercising regularly. “After understanding FANCL, I realised that my preservative-free approach should be extended to my skincare as well,” she said.

Anddd it’s official! Zhang Jun Ning is officially named the brand ambassador for FANCL
