TOP 5: Organic Lip Balms

By Reeseatomic @reeseatomic

It’s pretty well known that I’m a lip balm addict. I have a drawer full of them (along with fifty shades of pink lipsticks). So, after finishing my Jack Black Lip Balms – which again, is no secret that I’m obsessed with – I decided instead of buying more lip balm, I’d shop my own stash and see what I find. Here are some of my favorite organic lip balms…

All The Better to Kiss You With in ‘Pepperminty’, $8.75 (7g)
One of my all-time flavor lip balms are minty and I’ve already finished half of this one. The package is really cute, like a match box that slides open. These seem to be only available online, but you might get lucky in some health food stores.
Available I Am Natural Store.

Grown Vitamin & Watermelon lip balm, $19.95*(15mL)
Other than minty lip balms, I LOVE anything with watermelon in it. This lip balm isn’t the sickly sweet fruit lip balms out there, but it feels beautiful on the lips. It is a little thicker than other lip balms, but it absorbs into the lips making them oh-so soft and smooth.
Available from Priceline, Myer and David Jones. * – Price may vary.

Badger Lip Balm in ‘Pink Grapefruit’, $2.99 (4.2g)
This is a lip balm I forgot I had. It was given to me as a Christmas present from a friend months ago. I don’t know why I forgot I had it because it’s smells amazing and I find that simple lip balms always work the best. It’s not strongly scented and not too creamy either. Pretty good for something that only costs $3.00.
Available from iHerb.

EOS lip balm in ‘Summer Fruit’
OK. Let me just state that I use these before Miley Cyrus did in her music video ‘We Can’t Stop’. If you haven’t heard of these babies, they’re the coolest lip balms you could ever come across. They come in little egg-shaped containers and come in many different scents and flavours, which also include a few limited edition ones. I’ve been lucky enough to own all of them at one stage and I have to say they’re pretty amazing. Other than the Sweet Mint, I really enjoyed the Summer Fruit lip balm. It literally smells like a cocktail.
Unfortunately the online store where you can purchase these has gone offline, but you can buy them on eBay.

KORA Organics Vitamin Enhanced LIp Balm, $24.95 (6.5mL)
This is by far one of my all-time favorite lip balms. Yes, it’s a little expensive but it works a dream on chapped lips; just apply just before bed and in the morning your lips will be super smooth. It doesn’t have a particular scent to it. It me it smells of pawpaw ointment which isn’t bad anyway.
Available from David Jones and anywhere that sells KORA Organics products.
