Hello, beautifuls!! So here is the new year with a lot of positive vibes, happiness, and probably a ray of hope for a normalized life. Like every year, this year has also come up with a wide array of makeup trends. The makeup trends generally originate from ramps, pop stars, and movies. Here are the top makeup trends of the year 2022, that we have narrowed down and enlisted.
Top 5 Makeup Trends of 2022
- Bold Blush: It is the year to add more and more color to your cheeks. That does not mean you create a clownish getup. The key here is to use your bold coloured blushes to contour your cheeks as well. Makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes has been following this trend for quite some time. Using earthy shades like browns or bricks can create a perfect trendy look.
- Contoured Lips: Remember the 90s? The dark outlined lips with a relatively lighter shade - well that trend of contoured lips has returned for the good. Since the art of makeup has evolved with every going year, this trend now looks much better with less use of stark shades, unlike the 90's trend which used to be quite painful to the eyes.
- Glossy Highlighter: Now this has to be my favorite part when it comes to makeup. Think glossy this year. A clear and glossy look will be much sought after. A touch of clear lip balm can even do the trick sometimes.
- Sheer Foundation: This is another trend that I have embraced for a long time. Most of the time I use tinted moisturizer, BB Creams, or nowadays tinted sunscreens. Keeping it real and natural is the key. Gone are days of extreme cakey coverage. Minute blemishes, freckles, or spots are ok to be seen.
- Matte Eyeshadow: While we have gotten used to shiny, pearly, or even glossy eyeshadows, matte eyeshadows are not that common, especially when we are thinking about muted shades. It looks quite nice if done probably paired with kohl-rimmed eyes.
So these are the Top 5 Makeup trends of the year 2022. Most of these trends can be achieved quite easily and anyone can do these. Do you like any of these trends? Which one are you going to try?
