TOP 5 – Hand Creams

By Reeseatomic @reeseatomic

I’m one of those people who constantly washes their hands. It’s not OCD but years of working in a place where it is imperative to wash your hands.

Because of this practice my hands constantly get too dry. The soap provided have a pH balance that’s just a little too harsh for me, so I’m always carrying a tube of hand cream wherever I go.
Although I will never understand why cosmetic companies insist on making products smell like food, I will admit this is probably the only exception where I don’t mind if it does.
I LOVE skincare that smell like citrus. It’s fresh and smells clean – you simply can’t fault it.

These products range from under $15 up to about $40. These also cover a range of skin types and requirements as well.

These are my favourites…

Dr. Organic’s Organic Rose Otto Hand & Nail Cream, $17.95 *
This hand cream is one I use when the weather is cold. The formula is much thicker and creamier than the others. Perfect for if you have drier skin that tends to flake.

KORA Organics Daily Hand Cream, $39.95
My Holy Grail hand cream and I just can’t flaw KORA Organics at all.
The KORA Organics Daily Hand Cream is light and has a light scent of citrus. It’s not sticky and hydrates the hands straight away – I’m just in love with it. Great for everyday use, in any season.

Soap & Glory Hand Food, $11.95
This is close to being my Holy Grail hand cream, if only it was organic I’d convert. It’s definitely not greasy and leaves your skin silky smooth for hours afterwards. The scent is a little strong but it’s not bad. I am amazed at well this works and of course being a department store product for only $12, can’t go wrong there.

Grown Vanilla & Orange Peel Nourishing Hand Cream, $24.95
I was a little surprised with this because it’s pretty expensive for a brand that sells both in department stores as well as drugstores.
Again, loving the citrus scent and light formula. Another great product for the colder seasons and the hint of vanilla really suits the season.

Kiehl’s Hand Salve, $22.00
Another great favorite. I use this mainly when I’m working; so when I need to wash my hands a lot. I love the tea tree scent to it and it’s thick texture. Another department store product that isn’t too expensive.
