Quite a few of these images you are about to see are located within the Sequoia National Park because when a giant Sequoia tree falls over or dies it is often easier to build a tunnel through them rather than cut them down.

I’m not sure what the difference is between a giant redwood and a Sequoia, but I presume its mostly about the colour. This is a single tree that has split due to a lightning strike which really shows just how delicate these giant trees are.

We go back to a Sequoia for this one and on a drive tour thru tree. Shame there is no McDonald’s within the tree, now that would be cool.
