Reddit.com has this great feature called: Today I Learned, which complies little interesting and trivial facts about random things.

We here at Long Awkward Pause have gathered a sample of some that we found worthy of mention:

A company is now able to mass produce spider silk. They inserted the genes of the spider into a species of silkworm, bred the worms and is now a product called, “MonsterSilk”.

In Greece, it is considered highly insulting to show someone your opened palm, about the equivalent of the middle finger.

The 1980 Italian film, “Cannibal Holocaust” had murder scenes so realistic that the director Ruggero Deodato was arrested for the murder of some of the cast members.
