Thirty-Eight Weeks

By Heathernichole

How far along? Thirty-eight weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.Exercise? Trying to walk as much as I can.
Sleep:  Very little. It gets worse and worse each night. I'm uncomfortable and my acid reflux only makes it worse. I try to nap during the day but usually I'm unsuccessful and I just lay there thinking for a while.

Best moment this week: Putting the stroller and car seat together with my husband. Every time we do something like this for the baby, it makes it all more real. Also, I asked the doggies if they were ready for their baby because she's coming and they ran to the front door. It was the cutest thing!
Miss anything? Not having acid reflux. It's really no fun.

Movement: I downloaded an app that counts kicks because my midwife always asks me if I can count ten kicks in ten minutes. I ended up counting ten kicks in 2 minutes and 21 seconds. She moves constantly! AND she's responding to my touch. If I rub a certain part of my stomach, she will push back in that same spot. It's our way of communication.

Food Cravings: Sweet stuff and carbs. Pretty much the same as usual. Anything making you queasy or sick: No, just acid reflux after eating anything tomato based or with citrus.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acid reflux, acne and lack of sleep. I really can't complain other than that. I get an occasional contraction, which feels like a period cramp, but it's nothing I can't handle.
Wedding rings on or off? Off. It feels so weird. I'm constantly looking for my rings.

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! Looking forward to: The birth of our baby girl!

Here's daddy putting Acacia's stroller together.

All ready!

I moved the car seat and stroller to my car. All ready for Acacia to come home with us!
