Maybe it is just the animal instincts inside me, but I love meat! Steaks, chops, joins in fact anything meat based I can get my teeth into makes me happy. But now to the point of this post, I love my burgers as do many people reading this, but with all the food quality scares around maybe it is time to give up on the beef burgers for a while and try something else…

Cajun Chicken Burger

10 – Cajun Chicken

This simple but yet tasty spin on an otherwise basic chicken burger is got to be worth a go. My mouth is watering just thinking about biting into all that tasty, seasoned meat. Well I need to wipe my mouth, so why don’t you check out the recipe and making guide in the link.

Sweet Potato, Chickpea, and Quinoa Veggie Burger With Roasted Peppers

9 – Veggie

It doesn’t have to contain meat in order to be tasty! I have tried various vegetarian burgers over the years, but this one sounds like it might top the lot of them. Made with sweet potato and fresh parsley this is really easy recipe to knock up thanks to the making guide.

Lamb Burgers with Cheddar and Spicy Onion Marmalade

8 – Lamb

Lamb is without doubt my favourite meat. It sucks in all the sauces of whatever it is cooked in or placed with and makes for a much better taste. So this burger with spicy onion marmalade is right up my street. Full recipe and making guide in the image link.

Grilled Portobello Mushroom Burgers

7 – Mushroom

Mushroom burgers are one of my all time favourite meat alternatives to have. With some tasty summer vegetables and fruit as a topping they really can taste even better than meat made ones! So why not try this one with a full recipe and making guide in the image link.

Southwest Pinto Bean Burgers with Chipotle Mayonnaise

6 – Bean

Another nice veggie style burger here, but this time made with dried Pinto beans! With the tasty Chipotle mayonnaise to top it off this sounds very nice indeed. Full recipe and making guide can once again be found by clicking on the image.

Pork Burgers with Grilled Apple and Cheddar

5 – Pork

I have to hold my hand up and tell you all that I have never had a pork burger! It looks amazing and the grilled apple and cheddar just finished me off. So maybe it is time I tried it, and thanks to the recipe and making guide I can at least give it a go.

Shrimp Burgers with Remoulade Sauce

4 – Shrimp

While it is rather unusual to make a burger with shrimps I think this would be a wonderful Mediterranean taste sensation. Topped with fried tomatoes and spicy sauce I really, really want to try this. So it is a good job there is a full recipe and making guide in the image link!

Black Bean-Spinach Burgers

3 – Spinach

This is a great spin on a vegetarian burger. Made with black beans, raw spinach and oats it is a nice healthy alternative burger that is well worth a try. Thanks to the first class image driven making guide in the image link it is nearly a fool-proof meal idea!

Turkey Burgers with Special Sauce

2 – Turkey

Another healthy option here, but this time the recipe comes complete with a “special” sauce! The sauce made with Dijon mustard, orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and ginger sounds like it will blow your taste buds out of your mouth! So that alone makes this worthy of a try, let alone the full recipe and making guide making it super easy to make ourselves.

Salmon burgers with basil and lime mayonnaise

1 –  Salmon

If there is one thing I love more than meat it is fish, and with that in mind you can easily see why this is my number 1. Tasty, very healthy and thanks to the recipe and making guide in the image link it is easy to cook up! With those chips on the side it looks sumptuous.
