The Weekly Wrap Up #6 // The Count Down

By Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28

1. Last week of school holidays. Surprisingly, it hasn’t been all that bad. The kids have been spending every other day at a park, playground, playing with the neighbour’s daughter, going to the library… all the typical stuff yes but I didn’t expect I would be up for much being so uncomfortably pregnant.

2. I’m desperately counting down to the end of my pregnancy. Lots of sciatic pain, lack of sleep, difficulty walking – just been told my baby is big (no surprise there) which is unfortunately causing me a lot of physical grief. However, I know that when I do eventually give birth, I’ll be back to wishing the baby was safe, snug and ‘conveniently’ tucked inside the womb.

3. 27 more days to go until the estimated due date and everyone keeps saying – “oh that was quick!” No, definitely not at all for me. Every single day has been too long and unfortunately, physically painful.

4. I am absolutely enjoying spring. Cuppas on the verandah every single day.

5. A strange tea addiction since I’ve become pregnant. This week has seen at least 3 cuppas each day.

6. Our neighbours are getting married in a week. Outfit for a heavily pregnant woman – ideas anyone?

7. The nesting instinct has set in slowly but surely. Clean, clean, clean and organize everything has been my current obsession; although that can only be done to a certain extent since we are still renovating one room. I need everything to be tidy and neat – inevitably a challenge some days with 2 kids. I have also been so obsessed with all things monochrome as well as neutral colours – they fuel my taste for a very clean, neat, organized, crisp style. The newly renovated parts of our home does have a lot of neutral accents coincidentally chosen by my husband and I’ve been very happy in this environment, I feel like I’m in my element.

How has your week been? x
