If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you would know just how much I love The Parcel by Marie Claire! Since the very first box, I’ve absolutely been in love with this beauty subscription box because of the amazing value and the fabulous range of brands and products it includes.
To celebrate Marie Claire’s 20th Birthday, this Spring box is a Special Anniversary Edition and as described by The Parcel, includes ‘some great new buys and all-time favourites’.
- John Freida Frizz Ease Smooth Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner – FULL SIZE
- Redwin Coconut Balm – FULL SIZE
- St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower
- MOR Rosa Noir Hand and Body Milk
- Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge EDP
- Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum
- L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick – FULL SIZE
With 8 products included in the box, 4 were full size, 3 were what I would call deluxe sized samples and lastly, a small vial containing the perfume sample. Now I know this may be a bit controversial but I’m really on the fence about this box! While the value of the box definitely exceeds its cost price, the majority of the products dont excite me, perhaps because I’d hyped up this special edition box in my head and it just wasn’t what I had imagined it to be. I also feel as though the box is a bit empty.
Out of the 5 boxes that have been released, 3 have contained multiple John Freida products. I’ve tried quite a few products from the brand but haven’t been too wow-ed so I’d love to see some other hair care brands included in future boxes. Being a non tanner, I’ll be passing on the St Tropez product but I do really appreciate its inclusion as it is a brand new product receiving quite a lot of hype. I am however excited to try the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum as I’m a huge fan of the Clinique brand and the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick which I received in the shade Mon Jules is a stunning deep red shade which I think would look gorgeous on a night out.
In my eyes, which each box, The Parcel by Marie Claire had progressively gotten even better and better, with the last two boxes real standouts but I just feel as though this box has taken a step down and I wont be excitedly reaching for all these products to try.
