The Lucky Beauty Products Coming With Me on Vacation

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema

So this was a much more complicated process than it should be.  I am only going to be gone for three days, and I am going to be at a beach.  There is no sense to carry a ton of makeup or beauty products.  Then again, there will be restaurants and a bit of shopping involved, so I need to take some things :) I added some favorite items and included some stuff to try, so I can do some reviews when I get back.
 Skincare and Haircare:
Naturally, I cannot forget my skincare routine.  One day of slacking, and my skin will look horrible the next day.
1.) Noxzema:  this is a great, basic deep cleansing cream.  I took a break from the Clinique Acne Solutions since it was drying my skin out some, and this was the perfect fix.  Easy, quick and soothing. Perfect for a beach vacation.  I am not taking my huge tub of it, so I will empty some out into a small travel container.

2.) This is not pictured, but I will be taking my Vitamin C Skin Boost from The Body Shop.  Vitamin C is great for protecting the skin from the environment, and it makes my skin feel smooth.
3.) My sample of Guerlain's Ochidee Imperiale face cream.  I want to use as little space as possible, and I do like this as a night cream.  Plus the packaging is really luxe in appearance.  It makes my skin feel smooth the next morning. Plus a little dab goes a long way.
4.) Guerlain Abeille Eye Cream: another product I am converting to a travel container.  I love this eye cream.  It is expensive, but it makes the skin around my eyes feel so soft and look brighter.
5.) Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner: Luckily, WalMart had the travel sizes for $0.99 :) Plus my hair is very dry and unruly, so moisturizing products were a must.  I actually bought two of the conditioners because my hair is so thick.
6.) A travel size version of some Tresemme mousse.  I have never actually used this stuff before, so I hope it works,  I have faith though; I like Tresemme.
7.) Phyto Hairspray: This was included in a sample I received in an order from Sephora or Macy's.  I didn't want to carry a big bottle, so I just through this in the bag.
8.) Of course sunscreen will be in there.  I have not decided which one I am going to use, but it will most likely be my Up&Up SPF 30.  Good stuff, and cheap.  No tanning oil or anything of that nature, just good ole' sunscreen.
9.) Blistex Restore and Revive lip balm.  This stuff is the best as far as a basic, moisturizing lip balm.  One has an SPF 15 for the day time and the other is perfect for nighttime.  It even soothes eczema flare ups on my lips, so this is a must carry on any trip.

Makeup
10.) Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream:  I don't want to be walking around wearing heavy makeup on the beach or out for dinner.  I want my appearance to be fresh and natural.  This BB cream is perfect for that, and it has an SPF 30.
11.) Tokidoki Lion Pappa Arte Palette and Too Faced's The Naked Look.  Both of these palettes have everything you need.  They have great neutral shadows and a blush.  Or in the case of the Too Faced palette, a lovely highlighter and even some lip gloss.  I was just going to carry one of them, but I wanted a bit more variety.   The Too Faced palette was a 500 point perk from Sephora, so it cannot be bought but the separate colors can be purchased.  The Tokidoki Arte Palettes are on sale for $5 at Sephora since the brand is being discontinued.  I will have reviews when I get back :)

12.) Philosophy Amazing Grace Shower Gel/Shampoo and Perfume: This little sample of Amazing Grace gel seemed perfect for a vacation since it is small and smells amazing.  I didn't want to carry a large bottle of perfume, so I opted for my travel size bottle of Amazing Grace.  It smells divine and will be great to spritz on before going to dinner.
13.) And of course you have to bring primers. I'm taking Too Faced's Shadow Insurance and a sample tube of Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer.
14.) Sephora Collection Oil Blotting Sheets, because I can't be an oil slick sitting on the beach.
15.) Maybelline Mega Plush mascara.  Hey, the lashes have to look good, right?  I tried this today, and I really like it so far.  It gave length and volume, and it did not have the crunchy, hard feeling some mascaras can have.  It is not as plush as the commercial makes it out to be, but it is nice.

So, that is what I am taking on my short vacation.  The list seemed a lot shorter before I typed it out.  Hopefully I will not add anything last minute, but you never know.  Later, I will do a post on what I actually carry in my beach bag.
