I hope that everyone is having a great Monday so far.
Aside from having a crazy busy and hectic, Monday. I was sure to get my late night Zumba class in at a local gym here in Los Angeles.
1. Remember To Stay Hydrated At All Times
Hydration is a HUGE part of having a successful workout. Whether it’s water, or just protein powder, keep your body fueling with fluids at all times.
You want to pick a playlist that is going to boost up your energy, music that is going to put you in a ‘feel good’ attitude. I personally like to workout to fast pace & upbeat music to give me a ‘push’ during cardio.
3. The Right Shoes Are Key
The shoes you are wearing pre-workout, are the most important part of how your workout is going to start. No shoes with wedges, or sneakers with a heel. You want to be wearing shoes that give you support and the most maximum comfort.
4. Plan Out Your Workout Schedule
If you’re going to start with cardio, weights, leg press, etc, you always want to plan out your workout schedule before you even want to attempt the gym. The gym is a place where thousands of people workout, basically all at once, so right when you enter those gym doors, you want to head start to what your plan was.
5. Don’t Take Your Workout Too Seriously
You workout because you have a ‘goal’. Everybody has a goal. When you take something too seriously, you start to loose the fun out why you wanted to workout in the first place. Have fun with your workout, but just remember in the back of your mind, what your original goal was.
