Remember that glorious tv programme, ‘The Good Life’ with Felicity Kendal? I used to love watching it, made me chuckle many a time. This place is a little like it, but different as we are in Chelsea and eating a Cali inspired menu, so welcome to the Good Life Eatery. A tiny little place (which we almost walked by), when you enter you place your order at the counter and either opt for take-away or if you’re lucky, sit-in. We were lucky and got a great little table at the back. Now, when I say “the back” there are literally only a handful of tables in this very popular eatery. Obviously I had looked up the food menu before, so I knew exactly what I would be ordering, and also drinking. Wooden tables, wooden chairs, a few palm leaves, natural daylight pouring in and with our stomach rumbling furiously we were ready for brunch. Loving madre’s arm candy, don’t you? The great thing about sitting in (apart from sitting) is that you can happily look over to your neighbour’s choice of dish, which is extremely easy to do as the place is so small.
