The dry lips treatment you forgot about. The causes of dry lips can vary: weather, diet, stress, and even genetics. But there is one dry lips treatment that’s been around forever (and ever). I like to consider it the granddaddy of all dry lips remedies. It’s good ‘ol Vaseline or petroleum jelly.
It all started with Vaseline…Before there was Maybelline baby lips, EOS, and blistex, there was Vaseline. The miracle jelly that could do it all. No fancy gimmicks. No glitzy packaging. No ‘faddy’ ingredients. Nope. Just a beauty product that could serve (what felt like) a million purposes.
I picked up this three-piece Vaseline set last night at my local CVS for $5. It includes the cocoa butter infused Vaseline, the original formula, and one with a slight rose tint. I can find so many great uses for this stuff. Especially now in the winter months where the weather is brutal and therefore brutal on our skin and lips. They are so tiny and convenient. You cans stuff one in your purse, your kid’s backpack, in your car, or simply in your pocket.
These will make great stocking stuffers. The best part is Vaseline has so many great uses. Not only is it a great dry lips treatment, it can be used to soften cuticles…elbows…knees. It can be used as an eyelash moisturizer. You can also rub on your feet with big socks at night for an overnight pedicure.
