The Dangers of Crack Cocaine

Posted on the 07 November 2012 by Infographixdirectory @infographixdir

Cocaine is one of the most dangerous addictive substances, and the consequences of its use expand beyond the physical side-effects. Cocaine can be consumed in a powder form through snorting, or reduced (generally using baking soda and water) into “crack”, which can be smoked or snorted. Consuming the drug produces a quick and heavy release of neurotransmitters like dopamine, causing a hyperactive high in the user. Blood pressure also rises, and this increases the risk of artery rupture, heart attack, or stroke. The aggressiveness that comes with the high can be dangerous to others as well, especially if the user gets behind the wheel.
