I am a big fan of chocolate smelling products and feels like trying every product that has cocoa or anything like coco, choco printed on it! I was once a fan of chocolates as well which I had to give due to my acne and pimples popping as soon as I used to eat a chocolate, now I just satisfy myself with chocolate products! So today I would be reviewing The Body Shop Chocomania Body Lotion which I have been using for past one month.

What The Body Shop Claims:

This lightweight but luxurious body lotion has a decadently chocolatey scent.

  • Quickly absorbed
  • Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother
  • Indulgent chocolate scent

Price: Rs. 595 for 250 ml.

My Experience with The Body Shop Chocomania Body Lotion:

The Body Shop Chocomania Body Lotion comes in a transparent pump dispenser bottle, just like typical TBS body lotion packaging. The body lotion smells like chocolate with a slight hint of coconut oil, wish it smelled like chocolates fully as I hate when there are some other fragrances mixed with chocolate smell. I like dark chocolate and fully chocolate smelling products well that’s my case, I can’t expect everything in this world in my favour.The consistency of this body lotion is medium and it spreads like butter getting absorbed in the skin in 10 seconds or even less. It moisturizes the body well and leaves skin feeling soft without any stickiness or chipchip which is perfect for summers but I think this won’t be moisturizing enough for dry skin or for winters as it doesn’t moisturize heavily. Though the texture feels heavy, it feels very light on skin. One fact that I want to mention about this body lotion is that it tastes so bitter just like karela (bitter gourd) that my hero doesn’t let me use this, what happened once was that he was kissing my palms just palms don’t think something else like when he go to work, he kisses my palms and then goes so he was like yucckkk what is this and started spitting, it taste so bitter, don’t use this lotion again! I know he is too childish and he hides it every time when I’m about to use it but still I manage to use it. He seriously is so pissed off from this lotion just because it tastes so bitter that now while I’m writing this post, he is saying that yuckk your clothes are also smelling like that lotion though it doesn’t smell that bad but he just don’t like that taste that he hates its smell also now.

I like this lotion and it does a decent job in moisturizing the body and keeps skin moisturized for a good amount of time for 5-6 hours without feeling sticky, it doesn’t even make skin sweat like most other lotions! The only drawback besides its bitter taste could be that it doesn’t have SPF in it which makes it a not so good option for summer!Swatches:

  • Keeps body moisturized for 5-6 hours.
  • Nice cocoa smell.
  • Doesn’t feel sticky.
  • Doesn’t make skin sweat.
  • Absorbs in seconds.
  • Smooth texture that is very easy to spread.

Cons of The Body Shop Chocomania Body Lotion:

  • Tastes bitter, just like bitter gourd.
  • Not everyone will like the smell!
  • Not moisturizing enough for dry skin or for winters.
