The All Star Game

I used to love watching the All Star Game when I was younger in the 60's 70' and 80's. With guys like Aaron, Clemente, Mays, Mantle etc. It was exciting to see all those guys on one field. And they played like they wanted to win
But the All Star game is a joke as far as I am concerned now. The even called it at a tie several years. Guys don't play hard anymore and you'll never see something like Pete Rose plowing into Ray Fosse at the plate again. Especially with the ***** rule about blocking the plate now. Its just a commercial for MLB
I think its better that none of the Bucs play in the AS game. I'd rather see them in the post season where the games really mean something. I think every one of our All Stars had problems after playing last year (Grilli, McCutchen, Locke). I say let them take a few days off at the beach and forget the AS game and gear it up for the 2nd half.
