Taking A Look At: Coat Polish

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on 3 nail polish shades from Coat Polish. The brands boasts a collection of over 70 different nail polish shades coming in different finishes such as glitters, metallics and cremes in every color under the sun, so you’re bound to find one you love!

Coat Polish is a Sydney based, Australian owned, 5-free Nail Polish. We are passionate about on-trend color & creative jaw-dropping nail-art.

We make nail polish without five of the nastiest ingredients linked to toxicity. Free of formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde resin & camphor.

Although many of you would know me as a nude polish lover, when it comes to the colder months, I do love to go for something more Winter appropriate, such as a nice deep red or darker shades.

From the Coat Polish collection, Lust is a gorgeous red shade that really is perfect for Winter as its a deep red shade without being too dark so you can still really appreciate its color. It’s a lovely classic shade. Cinnamon is the brand’s best selling shade – a stunning balanced nude that is appropriate for everyday and the perfect base for any nail art. Disturbia is a chic, dark slate gray which usually wouldn’t be a color I’d pick up in store but on the nail, it has a great balance between a dark gray and blue.

The formula of these shades are really impressive! With each of the shades, 2 coats is all you really need for a lovely even and opaque finish and you could even get away with just one coat of Lust which will produce a nice finish but of a much lighter red shade. Of course you could also go in for a third coat to deepen up the shades if you wish.

The formula has an amazing glossy finish to it so if you’re not one for top coats, then this is a great pick for you and the formula didn’t take very long to dry at all which is another bonus. Longevity wise, I found these polishes to last on my nails for a good week and a half before any noticeable chips really developed (but do keep in mind that I am quite light on my hands as I’ve spend the past few weeks only studying for exams!).

Coat Polish nail polish shades retails for $14.95 and can be purchased online from the Coat Polish website as well as The Parlour Room Clovelly and other in-store stockists.
