TAG: 40 Beauty Questions

By Reeseatomic @reeseatomic

I love finding tags and memes to include on my blog because I find that you get to know me a little better and I’m not so “textbook”. I copied from Natalia’s video on her YouTube channel, which I recommend everyone subscribe to immediately because she does some great reviews on there and is also part of the Lipstick Republic Beauty Squad family.

If you’ve done this tag or plan on doing it, please let me know so I can check yours out.

Enjoy!

SKINCARE
How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice a day. In the morning, when I wake up and in the evening, usually in the shower. I often do my five minute skincare routine in the evening, which I highly recommend everyone doing.
What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
Oily/combination. I’m extremely lucky that I didn’t have any acne when I was a teenager and if I did have any breakouts they’ve never scarred or left any marks. They do take some time to fade, but they do eventually.

What is your current facial wash?
I use KORA Organics Cream cleanser. I am obsessed with the KORA Organics range, if you haven’t guessed by now.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes. Every 2-3 days I find works best for me.

What brand do you use?
I use St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub because I find that it’s the most thorough at removing dead and flaking skin.

What moisturizer do you use?
KORA Organics Purifying Day & Night Cream. It’s light, non-greasy and feels amazing on the skin. A little goes a long way too, so although it’s a little expensive it will last you forever!

Do you have freckles?
I don’t think so…? I haven’t seen them. More beauty spots.

Do you use eye cream?
Yes. I love the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum by Aēsop. Ridiculously expensive but does amazing things.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
No, never. I’ve been very lucky. When I was younger I had a lot of breakouts but nothing constant or considered acne prone.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No. Never needed to.

MAKEUP
What foundation do you use?
I don’t use any foundation.

How about concealer?
Don’t really use that either. Although, having said that I could do with some under my eyes.

Do you know your undertone color?
I have warm undertone, I believe.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
They’re lovely and make the eyes look very feminine and beautiful. I wish I had the patience to apply them everyday because I definitely would.

Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, I did. I may let mine go for about four months because that’s when I usually finish a tube.

What brand of mascara do you use?
I use Bobbi Brown’s Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara. Holy Grail type mascara.

Sephora or MAC?
HAHA, anything but M.A.C.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No. Nor do I ever want to.

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
I use a Sigma F82 to apply face primer, my ring finger to apply eye primer and cream shadows, a M.A.C 217 to add color to the crease, a M.A.C 227 for the highlight, a C413 angled brush and spooly duo by Crown Brush for the brows and an F84 by Sigma to add blush and contour and highlight.

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes. Always. There is no absolute favorite eye primer. I’ve been using Too Faced Shadow Insurance for years, I love the Primer Potion (original) by Urban Decay and I’ve recently fell in love with the e.l.f primer as well.

For the face?
My favorite is Too Faced Primed & Poreless has been my favorite since forever!

What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
I have a few but they’re all Urban Decay shadows. I can’t fault them because they’re amazing.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Liquid eyeliner all the way. I’ve had a love affair with it for almost fifteen years!

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Never.

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
They’re great. I use M.A.C’s ‘Tan’ a lot.

Do you use mineral makeup?
I don’t have anything against it but then again I’m not one to rush out and buy it either.

What is your favorite lipstick?
My all-time favorite is M.A.C’s ‘Full Fuchsia’, which is Pro color.

How about lipgloss?
Not a massive fan of the gloss.

What is your favorite blush to use?
I enjoy cream shadows a lot at the moment. Can’t pick a favorite though.

Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
Rarely. I had a bad experience online once and I vowed never to do it again.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Yes. How could you live without it?

Do you go to CCO’s? (cosmetic company outlets)
Not really. I often fear that things wouldn’t be real, but this is based on things I’ve heard. I haven’t had an experience myself though.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Sure.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
No. But I’m not one to say that I’m a “pro”. I’m sure some of my technique would be considered ameture or even cringe-worthy, but it works for me.

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Doing it in public – especially on public transport. Ick!

Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Neutral eyeshadows, bright lips. Always and forever.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
I like Kelly Osbourne’s a lot. Marilyn Monroe is timeless. Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie have beautiful sexy eye makeup which totally appeals to me. I also like Katy Perry’s makeup, even though I don’t think I could ever wear things she’s does.

If you could leave the house using just ONE makeup item, what would you use?
A brow pencil.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes. If you can’t do this, you have self-esteem issues.

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I think I look OK. I don’t wear makeup to really “cover up” anything (hence why I don’t wear foundation, etc). I’d like to think that I enhance my appearance a little and polish up a little more.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
Urban Decay. Amazing products with impressive performance.

What do you think of makeup?
It’s definitely a lot of fun. I enjoy it.
