Happy Sunday! I don’t know about you but these last four days have been a wonderful mini-break from work and most of the kids’ activities. We watched football and played games. We took down the autumn decor and put up the Christmas decorations. We did a little shopping. We ate a ton of food. We slept. We watched TV. We read. In essence, we were lazy, but I heard no complaints from anyone.
In fact, today is more of the same. Holly is recovering from a sleepover last night, while Connor has some homework to finish. Jim and I will be relaxing before we head into one of the busiest months for work we have all year. Quiet and peaceful and cozy – I am hoping this is our motto for the upcoming season.
While this past week was a short work week, it was not a quiet one. Still, I managed to post my weekly reading summary and Fabulous Friday. I did not do a What’s For Dinner this week because I figure almost everyone ate something similar on Thanksgiving, and I know we are not the only ones to have been eating the same leftovers since then. However, I did squeeze in a post on Giving Thanks. In addition, I posted four reviews this week: Stars of Fortune by Nora Roberts, The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, and The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.
Now, it is time for me to go catch up on some email, write a review or two, catch a nap, and try to make some headway in a book. That sounds about normal for a Sunday, right?
I hope everyone is having a peaceful and relaxing day as well and wish everyone a calm and speedy work week!
