Hey There,
This week I have been back up to Wales, spending time with the boyfriend and reminiscing with old uni and Cardiff friends. I’ve been a bit of a lady of leisure actually, and I rather liked it.
Wednesday was Ben’s graduation, I didn’t go to the ceremony, (As lets face it they are pretty boring), and I didn’t have a ticket anyway, (I wasn’t complaining…I know this may make me a bad girlfriend). I obviously got involved with the celebrations though. We went to Cardiff’s Viva Brazil, which I have been wanting to go to for ages! And the food was delicious! The idea of it is that you can help your self to the ‘salad bar’, (I put the apostrophes in, as it wasn’t really a healthy salad bar if you know what I mean), and then the waiters/waitresses come round and you can have up to 15 cuts of meats, from Chicken, Gammon, Steak and so on. Unfortunately there are no pictures, as when it comes to food I get stuck right in before even thinking about pictures, (I need to learn to control this so I can actually show you what I am eating not just tell you about it). The ‘salad’ bar, was Brazilian cuisine, with garlic mash and rice, their version of potato salad, fried palento, and bananas, pork and bean stew, and more. I could of filled up on that alone. I think I made it through three meats before I had to throw the napkin in, (Stuffed is an understatement). I have decided I need to go back on a day I am ready to ‘pig out’. Rumour has it, a similar place has opened up near me in Southampton, *excited face*.
Thursday me and Ben spent the day together, we chilled, I went for an amazing Origins facials in John Lewis Cardiff, (Post on that up later this week), and then we chilled more, and obviously ended up at Nandos, Bens favorite place. Friday I caught up with a good mate of mine I used to work with, we hung out, chatted a lot, grabbed some cake and hot chocolate, and caught up, (Can I not do this everyday?). Friday evening me and Ben went to watch the new Planet of the Apes, I originally agreed if he brought me ice cream, (Ben & Jerrys is the way to my heart), and I have come out raving about the film. It was so good, so much better than I expected and I’m now hoping for a third.
Saturday was my Race for Life, having not trained well at all, I was not looking forward to it. With the thunder and lightening the night before I was secretly hoping it would be called off, (Naughty I know). But it was all for a good cause so I got my self in gear and managed to run the whole 10k, (Without walking), and team mini eggs, managed to raise £200.00 for Cancer Research, (Is there any better reason to put on your trainers?). After pigging out at Nandos (Again) post run, I spent the rest of the day trying not to fall asleep. And I would of done, if it wasn’t for the fact I had to get glammed up for a girls night out, and some cocktail making lessons. Luckily the alcohol pulled me through the night! I was quite impressed with my cosmopolitan making skills to be honest, (No spillage at all), maybe because its my favourite, and we are talking alcohol here.
I had a few posts I wanted to do today, but having traveled back from Wales, (Slightly hungover) I haven’t got the energy now, (So this is all your getting unfortunately). Plus I can smell mums roast cooking so the #bbloggers chat and vegging out on the sofa it is instead.
On the blog this week I have been talking, Wishlists, My Skincare Routine, Brush on False Lashes and OOTD’s. Have a look and let me know what you think.
What have you been up to this week? Hope you have had a lovely week.
Lots of Love,
KBxx
