Hey Beauty and Subscription Box Lovers! These are the subscription box products I received and tested this week. These are my honest opinions and suggestions. I have linked where you can buy the products if you so choose. I hope you learn more about the products subscription boxes offer. I really enjoy testing these products. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

PRODUCT TESTING:

Bliss Fabulous Drench N Quench Cream-To-Water Lock-In Moisturizer ($38)

I received this product (sample) in my April 2016 BeautyFix Box. This moisturizer is just okay. It isn’t amazing by any means. I really didn’t notice any extra hydration in my skin and the sample is so small. It is hard to give a thorough opinion because I didn’t use it that many times. The first impression is just okay. It is a cream that kind of turns into a water. You rub it in for 30 seconds to really lock in the moisture. I think it is a cool concept, but I didn’t notice anything amazing. Overall, I think this is just okay and I wouldn’t purchase the FULL SIZE.

Just okay

DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer Moisturizing Serum ($85)

I received this product (sample) in my April 2016 Allure The Beauty Box. I actually really like this serum. I didn’t notice a huge improvement in pore size. My pores did look smooth but about the same size. It feels great on the skin and it is definitely moisturizing. However, it didn’t leave me greasy at all. It has a bit of a silicon feel but not much. I wish it wasn’t $85 because I really do like this serum. You don’t need much at all and this sample will last me a long time.

Pricey but I do like it

Doucce Click Click Lipstick ($24)

I received this product in my Limited Edition Mother’s Day Glossybox. I love the packaging of the lipstick. You click the bottom and out pops the lipstick. I love the shade and it is so vibrant yet wearable. The formula is very nice and it doesn’t dry out my lips. It lasted for a long time and didn’t bleed. Overall, I really love this lipstick and would purchase more on sale.

Avene Mineral Ultra-Light Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ ($28)

I received this product in my May 2016 Beautyfix Box. I wasn’t a huge fan of this sunscreen. It feels like any other sunscreen and has a very strong sunscreen scent. It takes awhile to sink into the skin and left my skin feeling tacky and greasy. I was really hoping to love this sunscreen because I love Avene so much. However, this product wasn’t a win for me. I might enjoy it more as a body sunscreen but not for my face.

Not my favorite

Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF 50 ($20)

I received this product (sample) in my May 2016 Allure Beauty Box. I really enjoyed this sunscreen. It has a bit of a tint but nothing dark at all. It really would work with any skin tone. It sinks into the skin very quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tacky. I didn’t even notice I was wearing sunscreen. It didn’t have a strong scent or break me out. The price is also decent and I would definitely consider purchasing the FULL SIZE. I also like that it didn’t change my foundation and my makeup applied easily on top.

Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel for Body ($34)

I received this product (sample) in 2nd May 2016 Birchbox. I am a huge fan of Real Chemistry! I love their face peel and this is the exact same peel but made for the body. It has a bit of a stronger scent but it didn’t bother me at all. I love how it balls up your dead skin and you can actually see it working. It is just so cool how it works. My skin looked radiant and felt so smooth. It really did remove my dead skin (especially on my feet, knees, and elbows). This sample only lasted me one use. I would consider purchasing the FULL SIZE especially on sale. I really enjoyed it.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repari! Deep Conditioning Mask ($9)

I received this product (sample) in my May 2016 Sephora Play Box. I didn’t like this deep conditioning mask. It felt like a normal conditioner to me. It wasn’t thick at all and didn’t do much for my hair. My hair felt weighed down (even though it wasn’t thick) and stringy. The price is right, but there are much better products at the drugstore. I was just not a fan of this conditioner.

Makeup Geek Blush in XOXO ($15)

I received this product in my May 2016 Boxycharm Box. I love this blush so much! It is the perfect shade year round. It blends beautifully and it is so pigmented. You don’t need much at all and this blush will last me a lifetime. Makeup Geek really knows how to make amazing products! I love the magnetic packaging and it feels so high quality. I just can’t say enough good things about this blush. It lasts a long time on my cheeks and I am a huge fan! I will definitely need to pick up more shades.

The Brow Gal Clear Brow Gel ($20)

I received this product in my May 2016 Boxycharm Box. I love brow products because I just love to do my brows. This brow gel is pretty nice, but it didn’t wow me. My brows did stay in place and I love the wand for my brows. If you have very thin brows, you may think the wand is too thick. It doesn’t have a smell which is very nice and is very easy to use. I will continue to use this gel, but won’t be repurchasing because there are much more affordable options.

Starlooks Luxe Lip Liner in Charmed ($19.50)

I received this product in my May 2016 Boxycharm Box. I really like Starlooks lip liners. They last a very long time on the lips and are very pigmented. This color is stunning and can be used with so many lip colors. The packaging wasn’t the best because it easily broke off from the holder. However, I really do love the product. I don’t know if I would repurchase because there are great drugstore lip liners. I will continue to use this lip liner because I really did enjoy it.

PUR Double Ego-Duo Ended Eyeliner in Queensland ($21)

I received this product in my May 2016 Boxycharm Box. I was very impressed with this double-ended eyeliner. I love the color so much because I just love the color teal on my eyes. I love that it is really two products in one. One end is a liquid eyeliner and the other end is pencil eyeliner. I haven’t tried the pencil eyeliner yet, but I am very impressed with the liquid eyeliner. It was very easy to apply and get an even application. It dried pretty matte and didn’t budge at all. It was so difficult to get off even with makeup remover. If you are looking for an eyeliner that really stays in place, this is it! I also think the price is very reasonable because you are getting two products in one. I would definitely buy this eyeliner in more shades.

Spongelle Spongology Body Buffer ($20)

I received this product in my May 2016 PopSugar Must Have Box. I am beyond a huge fan of Spongelle. Their products are so amazing. The soap is built into the sponge and it lasts for at least 20 uses. It is just so easy to use! I really loved this buffer and it definitely exfoliates the skin. My skin is left soft and smooth after using. I also am a huge fan of the scent and it smells very clean. I just love it so much and would definitely buy another!

Hikari Shimmer Bronzer in Radiate ($17)

I received this product in my May 2016 Ipsy Bag. I think this bronzer is just okay as a bronzer. It is a bit dark for my skin tone. I used it very lightly (and I mean very lightly) to warm up my face. Just the tiniest amount goes a very long way. I think I might enjoy this product more as eyeshadows. I am going to try that. I wouldn’t repurchase because it is too dark for my skin tone and I just won’t be reaching for it.

Epice Hydrating Mask ($35)

I received this product (sample) in my May 2016 Ipsy Bag. I really enjoyed this mask. I didn’t notice any crazy amount of moisturization but it definitely didn’t dry out my skin. It smells AMAZING…just like apples or pears (can’t decide which one it reminds me of). It dries down but it doesn’t get overly dry. My skin felt smooth and looked radiant after using. It was comfortable to wear and didn’t break me out. I would definitely consider purchasing this mask again.

Pacifica Natural Beauty Trio: Skinny Dip/Crush/Lovely ($12)

I received this product in my May 2016 Ipsy Bag. I love Pacifica products. These shadows are gorgeous and it was so easy to create a look with this little trio. They aren’t overly pigmented which is nice for blending. They blend like a dream. I love the natural look you can create with these shadows. The eyeshadows didn’t crease on me and lasted on my eyes all day. I will definitely use this little trio again and I would consider purchasing more Pacifica eye trios.

Smashbox X-Rated Mascara ($22)

I received this product (sample) in my May 2016 Ipsy Bag. I know a lot of people really love this mascara. However, I wasn’t a huge fan. It is a pretty basic mascara for me. It did give my lashes length but it took many coats. It doesn’t give my lashes any volume. It was easy to use and doesn’t smudge. However, I think there are better drugstore options. I just wasn’t a huge fan.

Winky Lux Lip Velours in Corallo and Stella Marina ($28 for the set)

I received this product in my May 2016 Marzia VIM Box. I LOVE these lip colors. They are so pigmented and creamy. These are definitely little hidden treasures (I never heard of this brand). I am beyond a fan of the packaging. They look like little bullets or pills and I just love how luxurious the packaging is. They are definitely vanity worthy and I can’t say enough about how much I love the packaging. The colors are perfection and so is the formula. They don’t dry out my lips at all and they last a decent amount of time. They are very easy to apply and I seriously love them! I would definitely repurchase.

Makeup Geek Duochrome Eyeshadow in Mai Tai ($6)

I received this product in my May 2016 Aspyn Ovard VIA Box. I really love this shade so much. I applied an eyeshadow primer this time and it worked better. The shadow still creased on me but not as bad. I just don’t know why these shadows want to crease on me. I hardly ever have that problem with eyeshadows. I love how pigmented this eyeshadow is and it blends very easily. I love the duochrome and how it reflects in the light. I will definitely continue using this shade and I hope to purchase more. I just have to figure out how to get them to not crease on my eyes.
