The Pittsburgh Steelers took to free agency yet again this season for the offensive line. The Steelers, however, did not have to release a player due to Rashad Butler’s departure from the team on Monday. This gave the Steelers space to sign guard/center, David Snow.
Snow is a 6’4” 300 pound lineman from the University of Texas. Snow went undrafted in 2012′s NFL Draft. Snow was signed by the Buffalo Bills on April 30th, 2012. He spent his rookie season on the Bills’ practice squad until October 13th, where he would see action in five games and start twice at center.
After not reaching the Bills’ expectations in 2013, they released him on August 30th. Snow has not been on an NFL roster since.
At Texas, Snow played in all 52 games and made 32 starts. In 2011, Snow started every game at left guard. He was named first-team All-Big 12 (Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News), second-team selection by the Associated Press and Fort Worth Star-Telegram… academic All-Big 12 second-team selection… earned program’s D. Harold Byrd Tenacity Award for Offense, helping the team rank 21st in the nation in rushing (202.62 ypg) and 392.56 yards of offense… awarded the Bevo Beast Award in seven games.
The Steelers will be taking on the Dolphins at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday in a fight for their sixth win on the season.
