December Beauty Favourites
December's star products are here! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas that was filled with lots of love, laughter ... oh and beauty goodies of course. The products that I have been loving during the month of December again consist of a lot of new discoveries that have now become a permanent staple in my beauty routine as they really are that impressive. So let me tell you what they are and why you need to they them ...Kérastase Discipline Fludissime, Fluidealiste
1. KÉRASTASE Discipline Fluidissime Heat Protect/Anti-Frizz Spray 150ml link!First up hair. You many recall from previous blog and instagram posts that I have moved over from the Kérastase Bain de Force line to this Kérastase Discipline line as the shampoo is sulphate free. Having hair extensions this really helps with the longevity of them as well as being more gentle on the scalp. I branched out into trying Fluidissime as I needed a new heat protectant spray. This product eases blowdrying with a heat protection of up to 450°F and provides shine and sleekness eliminating any frizz for fine to coarse hair. It is incredible and really does work! My hair is super sleek and shiny every time I use this and having naturally fine hair, it doesn't leave a build up and feel sticky like you have product in your hair with that horrible 'need to re-wash my hair again' vibe. If you are looking for a great heat protectant or suffer from frizz especially in high humidity then try this one out, it's a must.Sephora Fiber Face Mask
2. SEPHORA Fibre Face Masks link!I love a face mask so when I spotted these brightly packaged sheet masks in Sephora they surely ended up in my basket. They have a mask for every skin concern so I picked up Green Tea and Rose, one for clearing and one for moisture. With any sheet mask it's best to do it in private as they do look scary, like 'Michael Myers Halloween' kinda scary! These sheet face masks are made from fiber and come heavily soaked in product and once placed onto your face they feel so cool and calming, its heavenly. I wasn't really expecting much from these in all honesty as they were less than €4 each but my god, they work a treat! I used Green Tea as my skin at the time was 'acting up' and afterwards my skin looked and felt incredibly clear. Even my husband got into it and tried the Rose one and he too was majorly impressed. Unisex, affordable and effective - hence me highly recommending these if you fancy some pamper time. I am most definitely going back to purchase some more.Maybelline Midnight Red Super Stay Gel Nail Polish
3. MAYBELLINE Super Stay Gel Nail Colour #287 Midnight Red link! When it comes to nail polish I know what brands I like and I tend to stick with them but after hearing many good things about this one throughout the blogging community I thought it was worth trying, especially when I spotted this stunning shade. This is the perfect winter nail shade and a great dupe for the famous (and more expensive) Chanel Rouge Noir. I have to say the longevity of this polish is impressive and does last as it says. The formulation is nice and opaque with a high shine finish. The applicator is superb as its nice and wide so applying this is a doodle. I do hate when polishes have a thin brush end as its useless, but Maybelline have nailed it (pun intended). I have to say this beats a lot of high end nail polish brands and sorry to say including Chanel as we all know how badly they chip sadly. This may have the tendency to go a little gloopy after a few uses as its a thick formulation but for the price (less than £5!) you really couldn't ask for more. I am stocking up.Benefit They're Real Tinted Lash Primer
4. *NEW LAUNCH* BENEFIT They're Real Tinted Primer link!I posted on Instagram about this new product and so many of you were as I was, excited! They're Real is still to this day my favourite mascara so when I heard about this new launch I knew it was going to be good. Benefit distributed a luxury sample of this with the December issue of ELLE UK so I managed to get my hands on it before it launches worldwide. Hand on heart, its amazing! I have never really got into lash primers as I feel they can have the reverse effect and can make your lashes look clumpy and less defined but this one is different. It is tinted brown for a start with no fibres, just a lovely formulation that separates and coats each and every eyelash with a gloss like finish. You can even wear this alone if you want a more natural lash look. It feel it makes your lashes look like they have been tinted when you have lovely dark looking lashes without the mascara look. Used a primer, it boosts your mascara to work better and I found I use less as you don't need the layers when using this underneath. This is a real game changer in the lash primer stakes and highly recommend it to anyone!Clinique Colour Pop Lip Colours, Cherry Pop, Nude Pop
5. CLINIQUE Colour Pop Lip Colour in Nude Pop & Cherry Pop link!December has been superb for beauty freebies with UK magazines and having done quite a bit of traveling I managed to take full advantage of this. Glamour UK magazine had two shades of the new Clinique Pop lip colours as a freebie (bargain!) hence why I bought two copies just so I could get both lip shades! I have been eyeing up these new lipsticks for ages but having such a superb colour range, I could never decide what color to try first. These lipsticks are a lip primer and color all in one with a semi-matte finish so if you struggle with your lipstick lasting or drying out then these could be the ones for you. The formulation is luxurious, weightless, moisturising and the colour pay off is bold. Cherry Pop is a bright cherry red that makes a real statement and Nude Pop is a perfect everyday pink nude that would suit almost everybody. These really are beautiful and one of the most comfortable wearing lipsticks I have tried. They wear seriously well whilst keeping your lips nice and moisturised. The packaging is super stylish and a great launch from Clinique. I don't often use Clinique products but these are a definite new favourite of mine which doesn't really help my lipstick addiction as I now want more shades.Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
6. CHARLOTTE TILBURY Filmstar Bronze & Glow link!I have actually had this product for some time now as it has featured in many an Instagram post but this is one of those products where I hold my hands up of being guilty of just admiring it rather than using it. Tell me you do that to? I have now started 'using' it and since then I have not put it down. This deserves some serious attention as it's out of this world. You all know by now how obsessed I am with Charlotte Tilbury and being packaged in rose gold makes it top of my 'best brand' list but this palette is a game changer. The stunning bronzer side is a perfect universal shade with a blend of pearl and pigment to contour and bronze, giving you a sun kissed look, all at the same time. The highlighter is a golden base that flatters every skin tone to add light and radiance to your complexion. The powders are so pigmented and soft that only a small amount is needed to achieve perfect, radiant skin very time. If you struggle with the whole contour/bronze/highlighting then this shall be your saviour and do all the work for you. It is on the pricey side I know, but its 100% worth it and a product that is most definitely one of 2015's best discoveries.December Beauty Favourites
