When looking for Blogging Tips and Monetization tips, nobody can do better except the ones who have walked the talks. In an attempt to make it easier for all of us, here is a series that would empower you, enlighten you and excite you knowing the fact that you ain't the only one!!

For every blogger, Blogging first became a passion for something they found happiness in. For some, it was shopping anything and everything (like me), for some it was all about beauty products, then some chose only cosmetics and others chose skincare.

There were many who chose fashion, so some opted for only traditional wear. A few chose to display their awesome thrifted finds, so there were many who took the high-end street. There is a dedicated group of people who invest their time eating outside, clicking pictures and displaying them on their most suitable platforms and they became "Food Bloggers".

And the list does not end here!

This list of people understands sooner or later that their space in the digital world has a value. We all are doing a service for everyone involved whether it's a follower, reader or brand. And we all know there isn't anything called #FreeLunch. So, when you are providing a service to anybody you are entitled to getting a wage in cash or kind and so are bloggers and influencers.

That is why it is important for all group of people to understand how we bloggers earn or meet our standard of livings.

Here are some inputs by a very popular blogger who is also a blogger-turned-into-an-entrepreneur and loved by her followers-

A suggestion by Arielle's (Something Navy) follower who thought people must know how she manages her income and taxes.

Perhaps you should provide your followers with an overview of how bloggers make money. It seems to me that a lot of people don't know that you actually have to pay taxes on all the goods (or anything of value) that you receive from brands, in fact, you don't just get gifts. Your blog is a business and like every business, you have income and pay taxes on that income. I'm annoyed on your behalf. This would drive me crazy.

We make money based on collaborations. If there is a brand we like/use/love they pay a fee for a guaranteed mention of their product or sOut agency gets the check. I put half of it in for taxes and another chunk away for my mortgage and then I pay my employees (my photographer, Nikki, and Jane who help run my business) and a nanny that helps me with my daughter.

Another way bloggers make money is by affiliate programs like liketoknowit- when we wear an outfit and everyone wants to know where to buy it we share a link that gives us a commission from the sales of that item.

Not sure why any of this is supposed to be a secret or isn't talked about. This is how bloggers make money - it's a freelance job, you never know when you'll get paid so it's important to be smart about how you manage your income. It's also important to be smart about the projects you take on.

I don't want to lose the trust of my followers I don't want my followers to spend money on things that are a waste or a shitty product/service. I care and like what I promote even if some may choose to believe otherwise. As a team we make the decisions of what we want to share/promote on my page and you guys are our always what we are thinking about when making those decisions.
